USP can respond but the answer with all supplements is:
1) Check Logs, and see what the general trend is.
2) Your mileage may vary - and it depends, on your physiology interacting with the make up of the supplement.
Plus, it would be impossible to tell you for sure because of your sleep hygiene, other meds you may or may not take, etc.
PS, in my experience, melatonin is dose dependent in terms of how groggy you are when you wake up, and how long it lasts into the AM. You may be taking too much? It's a trick of taking just enough w/ that one. FWIW, I do better with source naturals sublingual, at 1/2 to 1mg total. If I use melatonin to "knock me out", the dose needed to do that creates grogginess in the AM. So sometimes taking a blend of a little melatonin + some calcium/magnesium like a ZMA product, and/or some chamomile, hops, etc works better as a blended sleep aid.
Hope that helps
