Red spots on forearm when doing deadlifts (with pics)

Hey,

I workout for about 4 years and i always did deadlift. However, i´ve stopped doing it for a few months, because i had some health issues and i´ve slowed down the intensity of my workouts.

I don´t know if this always happened or not but i only notice this recently.

When i do deadlift, a large red patch and some small red spots shows up on both forearms. A few minutes after i stop, the patch disappears but the red spots remains for many hours.

I have two pics where the red dots are visible. The patch was already disappearing.

Any ideia about this?

Meanwhile, i searched and it seems i´m not the only one with this "problem" when doing deadlifts. It seems theres a "lot" of people with the same prob.

Another thing.. At the time i didn´t link both symptoms but it seems related. When i did the exercice, i felt a strange sensation on my right eye and even it seems is being slowly subside, i still feel it. It´s not pain.. It´s hard to describe. Like a very mild itch/burn.. But i don´t feel the need to scratch it.

Well, did you get any insight at all on what might be the cause/condition?
Does it happen on other parts of the body with say thin or less skin thickness in areas?

It seems that are some blood vessels that tear.. But thats what i´ve read here and there. I don´t know whats the correct term, scientifically speaking neither why it happens.

I didn´t seen on any other part of the body neither on another exercice. Only on forearms and when i do deadlifts.

>you engage your forearms a lot when deadlifting
>blood rushes into them
>blood reaches the surface of skin or blood vessels pop
>causes this "bruising"

if it doesn't hurt, it shouldn't be a problem

Yeah it doesn´t hurt ;)

This week i paid close attention and my arms didn´t rub on anything, so it must be in fact the effort.

This week i´ve noticed that on biceps day, they get "red" too. Not as much as the forearms on deadlifts, but some mild red patch comes up.

I started taking 2g of taurine and 1g of l-arginine 30m before workout and maybe this isn´t "helping" too.. or maybe it´s a sign that in fact they are "helping" :)

I had the forearms "issue" before the taurine/arginine but maybe now it´s more evident. But maybe it isn´t related at all.

It's just popped capillaries because of blood pressure in the forearm, try using a mixed grip or fold over grip next time, but it's not really bad
