recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH)

The other day I bought some protein power because it was on clearance. Upon reading the labels more I noticed it was advertising rBGH free. I knew minimal information about how cows were injected with growth hormones, but decided to look into it a little bit. Anyone else worry about products from cows injected with recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH)? I guess the United States is the only developed nation to permit humans to drink milk from cows given artificial growth hormones...
 
Does bovine growth hormone even cause a problem if ingested? I though all those protein based hormones would be broken down into their constituent amino acid bases and absorbed, that's why you can't ingest igf or hgh right?
