Recent Blood Work. Hematocrit elevated?

Ive been on T for about 6 months now and i did blood work about a week ago and got my test results today.

This test was done recently 11-05-10: (I have attached a images of my full blood work below)

It shows Hematocrit 51.5 (38.5-50.0%)

WBC: 6.8 (3.8-10.8)
RBC: 5.76 (4.20-5.80)
Hemoglobin: 17.1 (13.2-17.1)

Is my hematocrit level too high? my primary doctor wasnt too concerned about it. I asked her if i should donate blood. she said my level is not too high so i shouldnt worry. she also said If hematocrit was 60% then i would need to donate blood.

i was thinking about going tomorrow and donate some blood but i thought id get some advice from you guys since you guys have good knowledge about this stuff. maybe im just stressing this for nothing?

When should someone donate blood? What level would be too high?
If your taking T are you still able to donate blood? or they reject you for that reason?



07-19-10: Hematocrit: 48.5 (38.5-50%)

Before TRT my Hematocrit was:

09-10-07: Hematocrit: 47.3 (38.5-50%)
02-26-08: Hematocrit: 43.7 (36.0-50%)
07-31-08: Hematocrit: 44.4 (36.0-50%)
04-28-09: Hematocrit: 44.2 (37-49%)
(If you need the wbc, rbc, and hemoglobin these test results let me know and i will post them)

i would donate blood. i just did because my hemoglobin was at top of range as yours is. i plan to donate regularly now

Potentially you were dehydrated
retest in 6 week to verify
levels are not that high to be concerned with.
If it still elevated look into sleep apnea
