so i went to home depot and got chains for my bench press. I bought the 3/8 size chain and got 7 feet on each side and looped them in. the setup is all right when the bar is on my chest the chain is on the floor. When i bench it the chain is all off the floor on lockout.. so heres my question
with 7 feet on each side thats 20 pounds on the left and 20 on the right.. for 40 total, what is the recomended for a bench press of 260-270 range? i read an article somewhere that said 40-50 pounds but would that be per side or total chain weight?
and can someone give me a Dynamic effort routine for bench that i can use chains for?
