Questions regarding cutting cycle

You’ve got the right mentality man

look best advice we can give is buy a food scale and write down everything everything you eat for a few days and tabulate the macronutrient breakdown and calories everyday. Once you get a real solid feel for it you don’t have to keep doing it every day.

we gotta be like engineers with this stuff. We need data. Diet breakdown, body fat %, how scale changes, how strength and body fat composition changes, then we decide how to optimize and proceed.

Steroids comes after that “equation” is perfect
it’s the cherry on top. It won’t overcome fundamental flaws with the underlying equation.
Thank you for understand my situation! One question; does it really matter when i eat? Or should I spread it out? Etc.. when I think from the point of thermodynamics Would it really matter if i ate everything in one sitting since I burn the calories away due to just living and moving and so on.. I hope you understand what I mean!

look best advice we can give is buy a food scale

I have no idea how anyone can do it without a food scale. When I originally started I never used a food scale. Once I got one it was a game changer. I take it for granted now.

I don't care if you do high volume, HIIT, powerlifting, etc etc. Pick a routine and train hard - it's that simple. Most routines work so long as you're consistent and train hard. But the most important thing is what you put into your body, even more than how you train your body. All that hard training goes out the window if your diet isn't on point.

I would personally lower protein and add fat. 200 g of protein should be plenty for 200 lbs and under BW, especially if not super lean. Just my point of view, not a direct disagreement on your approach really. But I do better with plenty carbs in the diet myself.

You’re right, 200gr is enough for him, I just added more protein because it seemed he wanted higher calories, and if that’s the case I rather have high protein&fats and low (next to nothing) carbs for maximal fat loss because his fat % is too high to justify carbs. Otherwise yes, some carbs are good, even in a cut, just not for OP.

Honestly my food scale is one of the best investments I've ever made. It's just as important as any compound you'll purchase

If you wanna get shredded then keep cutting. Personally I'd maintain this through the summer so you can enjoy life a little and bulk in the fall but your goals may not line up with that

Thank you for your answer sir but I do indeed want to shred the last % of fat.. I would estimate me being around 11% BF right now do you agree with this or am I flying in the clouds haha ..

I just looked back at your starting pics, good progress man. Ive found I have what Trexler has called a highly adaptive metabolism, which has its pros and cons, but it means I have to push deficits to some prettt gnarly extremes to keep seeing progress. Also means I find strategies like refeeds really helpful to get through the last 4-6 weeks. If you want to lose more fat you just have to keep disciplined and keep going at it.

Thank you for the encouraging words! Yeah it’s like your saying I do have to cut the calories really low And see what I can do the following weeks. Thank you for taking your time to reply.

Good job, it’s night and day since you started!

Last bit of fat is the hardest, might be an idea to change something if you feel fatloss have slowed down. Cutting more cals is probably not a good idea since you already are low but adding a little bit of cardio, changing your workouts or upping your protein might work, either way keep pushing you’re doing great!

Maxing out cardio already.. running 10km everyday and 1-1.5 hour workout. Diet is dialed in right now at 1900 kcal and around 60G carbs 75G fat 216g protein

Bro!! Nice effing work man, you set goal and went way above and beyond!! You don't know how refreshing it is to see that. It's motivating as hell to me as well because I know there are other members out there working just as hard as the regulars on here ( you all know who you are)

I agree with the guys above either do a couple refeeeds here and there or take a 2-3 week diet break ( thus doesn't mean go crazy, if you're afraid you aren't that disciplined yet do not do this) I know this sounds counter productive but by adding those extra calories it forces your metabolism to speed up which burns more calories. Your metabolism just may have slowed to the point it's not really doing anything because you've been dieting for so long

Thank you for the kind words the feedback means a lot guys! I’ll be sure to update this thread when I reach my goals. @BBiceps @Mikereyn513
