Question About Alpha-7 and T Levels

I'm about to go for my yearly doc visit. At that time I'll be getting full bloods, including having my total and free T, SHBG, LH, etc. checked. I'm 60 y.o. and right now my T levels have been sitting just over 300 (~320, or so) and I have a lot of the symptoms of low T. This has been going on for several years now, but because my T levels don't fall below the magic 300 threshold, the doctors just want to sit on their hands and shrug their shoulders.

My question is: will running Alpha-7 (which I'm about 2 1/2 weeks at this point into an 8 week cycle of) suppress my T levels on a blood test? I assume it will.

Is there any chance that Alpha-7 will show as INCREASED T levels on a blood test? This is really what I want to avoid!

I usually tell my doctor EVERYTHING, but I figure if the Alpha-7 will nudge me just under the magic 300 cutoff for starting TRT, I'll stay quiet this time.

What does everyone think?

There are plenty of smarter guys than me on here but my guess would be that androsterone won't lower test production enough to get you on trt. The best thing you could do is find a doctor or a clinic that treats the person not the number, and keep in mind that your low t symptoms may actually be caused by something else, so if they won't address your symptoms in any meaningful way, trt or otherwise, it sounds like they're not the best doctor anyway.

As stated above I don’t see where the level will change so dramatic that a Doctor would change their mind on TRT. I would look around and find a different Doctor. Most as you said look at the number, but some will diagnose based on person.

Really?... I'm only talking about dropping T levels by about 20 points , or so. As long as it doesn't show a rise in T levels I'll just see what my results are.

Thanks,

Seems relevant to post this here, hope that’s ok. Would Epiandrosterone ever warrant more than a good Test booster for recovery? I’ve heard of people even advocating it’s use in PCT.

you would have a better chance of showing lower testosterone level if you stopped alpha-7 3-4 days before blood draw, imo.

i think it is dose dependent...but i would not advocate it being used in pct-although i have seem small doses added to several otc AI products that some might include in pct- hi-tech

Low dose Epiandro may be best for this scenario. Will bring down test eventually after 3-4 weeks. Minimal toxicity n will not show up as T on blood test. Unlikely to affect BP at low dose. U may even feel great on it

Waiting for the updates
