Quest for Success vol#2 - Pumpin to the Ahhhnold

I doubt it. Figuring out my TEE and my suggested intake, it's around 2600 for weight loss. I'm usually right around 2200 which is a good reduction for a cut....especially when I keep my macros in order. I guess it's a possibility though.

Gotcha, just trying to throw some ideas out there. Maybe one yields to another, yields to a solution; ya feel me?
 
No real update for today. Other than running around to a million stores to do shopping and moving some furniture around, no real activity to note. I didn't eat great...but I wasn't far off mark either. Just kinda...typical.

Tomorrow I start my attempt of waking up at 4am instead of 5am to try and get some fasted cardio in. Let's see how well that works...lol
 
Well I woke up around 4:30am but I was still dedicated to getting my jog in. On this past Friday we got about 9-12 inches of snow so I knew it'd be a tough run. Well...

When I woke up, we had another 3 inches down and it was SLIPPERY! I didn't even get out of my parking lot and almost fell a handful of times. The morning runs will be postponed.

I will probably be up late tonight to watch the Giants game, so I will comence the attempts of running on Tuesday.

Yah Ice is no joke. I used to work at a ski resort a long time ago and I remember how good I got at predicting where ice patches were and how to avoid them.

Man I hate the ice. Friday sucked here and sunday was no joke either. It is like 15 degrees F here. I hate it.
I'm doing some jogging in place, some jumping jacks and jumping rope to stay occupied in my spare time. go to walmart and pick up a cheap jump rope. its worth it.
 
I have a few jumpropes. Problem is that my workout space is upstairs right now. Ceiling is too low and floor is too weak :(

if you have a basement it doesnt take up much room to jump rope if not go outside in sweats where it isnt icy. just be careful

If I had a basement, i'd be working out down there...lol

When it clears up, I will begin morning cardio.

Thats exactly what i'm going to have to do during the icy times. I am starting everything back up as far as AM cardio and lifting on the 26th. Right now there is just too much craziness with trying to finish shopping, wrapping stuff, arguing over nothing...etc. ugh.

Yah...almost. haha. I did my last SHOPPING today..but tomorrow is now my Culinary day. I will start working on items for Christmas dinner for my girlfriend's family and I am going to use a 10 hour spread to make a large batch of "Healthy" Rainbow cookies. I am subbing whole wheat flour, organic sugar, organic cream, organic chocolate, all natural raspberry jam, etc. It's going to be awesome!!

ps - I am normally asleep 2 hours ago. I am still wrapping stuff.
 
Get some sleep CTD! Sucks that you're still awake, but at least I have someone to talk to :)

haha it's end result will be about 45 pages long...so I doubt a pic of the day would really fit the bill. Maybe I will take a pic of the cover or something though.
 
12/24/08 - Day 80

Well everyone, it doesn't look as though i'll be getting back online anytime before tomorrow morning. I am heading out now to go to my girlfriend's and bring all of the presents in and then I am immediately starting to cook and bake. I'm staying there with them tonight.

Tomorrow morning I am doing the Christmas morning routine with them and then heading into work for a shortened shift and then when I get out, possibly coming home...or going back there.

I am looking forward to Christmas very much because I am very ready to kick into overdrive. For the last few months of this log I have kind of cruised along on autopilot while we all talked and had fun. We are going to still have lots of fun...but autopilot mode is a thing of the past. Now it's time to really take control :). I couldn't be more excited!

12/26/08 - Day 82​

Overview :I had a very traumatic experience today. Okay....that's overdoing it...but it was tough. This guy Neal that works for me has been out for about a month because he needed to have surgery to fix a Huernia that he has. He came in today to bring us some paperwork that we needed and the first thing he said to me was.......

"Damn boy...you gettin fat"

It's been ringing in my head since. For the first time in 2 years, my weight is heading...backwards. All the work i've put in and the effort...I let slide for a little while and now i'm paying for it with people starting to notice.

I'm not upset that he said something. I needed to hear it. I needed that real kick in the ass to get moving. I won't stop now though. Believe me when I tell you that at 4am when that alarm sounds tomorrow, i'll be doing some kind of cardio.

Wednesday - Yoga Style!:

About a half session. I want to still be able to get some rest before getting up in 7 hours to get crackin on cardio.

I spoke with the F+B Director today and told him that my rotation will have to stop soon because I need to find a 2nd job to pay for a home/car/twins. He wasn't thrilled, but gave me the go ahead...so now I have to start looking for a 2nd job. As if I wasn't busy enough :nono:
 
Dang CTD, it sucks that the needle was moving the wrong way on the scale for ya. Sometimes we need tough love to get us motivated to work hard to achieve our goals.

Overview :Today felt better than most days lately. I was up at 4:10am and was at the cardio by 4:45am (needed a few mins to actually open my eyes, haha). Didn't get a lift in today...but the cardio felt good. I will be keeping that as an everyday option. Since it's already 9:20pm....I am going to make this update as fast as possible and try to get some rest!

Saturday - Cardio Times!:

Also I wanted to note that I took 3-4 days off all supplements to kind of re-charge myself and I am slowly adding them back in now.
 
12/28/08 - Day 84​

Overview :So yeah...definitely stayed up too late last night. Seee....the problem was....when I laid down, good ol' Rocky IV with my arch nemesis, Ivan Drago, was on...so I simply had to watch. Long story short...I didn't get to bed til after midnight and slept straight through my AM alarm to do cardio. I'm lucky I even woke up in time for work...but I did (barely)

Luckily we were outrageously busy at work so I got plenty of cardio in anyway, haha. Didn't do much else today though. I am really way overstressed with searching for a home, car, 2nd job, etc...all at once. I am not getting much support in that department either as I have not been able to get together with any of my friends for months now. I am gonna just keep truckin along and hope things get a bit easier.

I don't know if you could get your fiber up much more without increasing your carb intake...17g of fiber out of only 104g of carbs is a pretty good.

Yeah I know...it's a tough spot to be in. I know that I respond MUCH better to low carb...but I always worry about taking in too low of an amount of fiber.
 
12/30/08 - Day 86​

Overview :Sorry for no update yesterday! I was doing great all day, feeling great, etc....and then one of my buddies that I haven't seen in ages wanted to meet up..and it turned into some beverages that I can bet were no good for my goals. Damnit. My will power sucks sometimes.

Today was a good day. I am about to go total the numbers...but I bet it's a little bit high. I ate ravenously mid day. I was tearing apart eggs and ground beef like a monster, haha. HOWEVER....100% of my intake today was natural...and that's how I want to try and keep it.

My workout numbers were low...but keep in mind that this workout was used sort of as a cardio session. What I mean is...I performed this workout with nothing in my stomach except Xtend.

I have been very content lately just running a stack of "basics". I mean granted, there are a few added bonuses i've given myself...but for the most part...it's really plain compared to my stacks of old (or even the start of the log). The only addition I plan to make is after the LR/DCP I will take some time off and then start using Hardcore Shred Xs again.
 
Simpler can be better too ya know. Trying to think about planning your doses of stuff all day gets to be a real headache.

I know that most of the health food stores here sell bulk flax seed, if you can get some then try throwing it in a coffee grinder and sprinkling it in food...great way to get your fiber up!

Yeah man...you're tellin me!! It was getting really hard when I was taking like 20 something friggen products...lol. I've narrowed it down a great deal. In a few days when I start Cre-02 again, I will probably adjust my entire lineup. Thats when I'll add the Ashwaghanda (sp?) and take out some more stuff like the Leviathan and DCP which are almost gone.

Thanks Cannon....good to see ya! I was concerned it was going to go wayyy over because I ate a ton of lean ground beef....but I actually ended right around where I wanted to be.

You running a log right now? I will come jump in if you are. Only reason I don't follow a lot of people's is because by the time I get to check there's like 187169892 posts since the last time I looked and then I need to call out sick just to catch up ;)

Thanks bro! I actually use flax already in my shakes...but thats when I can make a shake without waking up the old man. My father is a freak show and sleeps on our couch instead of his bed....so when I go down to leave for work and want to make a shake, the blender would wake him up. I was thinking of getting a blender for upstairs...but the transport to wash it would just become a pain real fast.
