Quest for Success vol#2 - Pumpin to the Ahhhnold

haha...you think brutal things. I dig that about you. KB thrashing it is!!!

Uhm...well...after Cordygen is run and I know what he thought of course ;)

Oh yeah, definitly after, then he has had a chance to see the good side and he knows what he is missing. But the Cordygen might make him harder to catch..eh!

Hahahaha, great post! On that note I am

translation : ready for bed :)

Goodnight everyone!!

I multi-tasked this morning. I had to get a coffee grinder, some shampoo for my girlfriend, and a few other small things. Instead of the normal drive, I decided to do intervals (running, walking, jogging) the way there and back, haha. It's only about a mile round trip...but it was something :)

I plan to do some more later on, probably some lifting. Right now I have to get showered up and maybe clean a bit before my girlfriend arrives.

...and which grinder did you purchase my good man?

oh it was just some small Mr.Coffee type job. Ran like $16. I was going to get a more expensive, bigger Hamilton Beach model...but money is really kinda tight right now

Speaking of, I don't think I told you, but not only have I already ordered my tickets to the AC...but they already ARRIVED!! I'm amped!!

Woohoo! Today is the first day to sign up for the Pump and Run. I'll probably take care of that and my tickets as well.

That's awesome...i'll be totally amped to watch at least one portion of it, haha. I don't know if a 5k run is in the cards for me ;)

Dear Millennium1, please excuse CTDeuce of any company duties at the time that Irish Cannon pushes his bodyweight on the bench press, thank you for your time :)

That will take all of 30 seconds. Haha. I'm not sure how many reps I can do @ 170lbs. Probably 12-15? I don't know. I've never been known for my benching skills.

Hopefully I will be a ripped 175lbs-180lbs by the time of the AC.

If it makes you feel any better, my bench is god awful. I don't even bench bodyweight right now...sad.

hahaha i'm here to help my bretheren. If you ever need to feel better about your lifts, consult me about mine ;)

11/1/08 - Day 27

Overview : Today was a good day. A few reasons come to mind that I won't be sharing just yet...but a good day for sure. Other than the Intervals this morning, not much training got done. I took this time off of work today and tomorrow to try and spend a little of it with my father so that he doesn't think so much about his brother's passing. We hung out pretty much until about 3pm today and he kinda kicked me out, haha. He wanted me to spend some time with my girlfriend. I made him watch my favorite movie of all time "Boondock Saints" which surprisingly he had never seen. He loved it, naturally.

Tomorrow might be kind of lacking on training also except some basics. I have busy training days for monday and tuesday already planned out. monday being football drills for 2+ hours and tuesday being hockey and some KB's. I'm amped!

Saturday- Whatev Yo!:

Meal #3 - slice of homemade pumpkin bread, 1 cup of Nicaraguan Organic Coffee *review below*
Meal #4 - Whole grain ziti baked with mozzarella and ricotta cheeses

Next Installment : Who Knows :)

Review of the Day - So today I tried my first cup of Nicaragua Organic fair trade Jinotega coffee. We grinded enough for 2 cups *which we estimated at 3.5 tablespoons of ungrinded beans* and we brewed.

The scent of these beans straight out of the bag is intense. It was filling my room last night when I took in the package from my porch and it had me craving that cup of coffee until I got some of it today. I was not let down. The taste was just as good as the scent. I have not been around the world scoping out the finer beans but for me personally (and I have ordered from many countries online), this was the best cup of coffee i've had.

Taste and aroma are stronger than your average run of the mill coffee...probably partially due to it being REAL coffee, and partially due to us maybe using a bit too much? I wasn't sure of how much I should use so we guessed for today :). We'll play around til we find the sweet spot i'm sure.

This coffee was purchased online from West Coast Roasting. Do yourself a favor and get some!!

So hows your dad doing? Do you feel he is taking it pretty well, I bet its tough.

Thanks for asking! I think he's doing as well as expected. My dad's a tough one so I didn't expect too much actual physical signs from him that he wasn't doing well. The only signs he gave were few and on the first day only...but it was enough to make me take a few days off work to make sure he's alright.

Yeah, even if he doesn't show it, you know he loves that you are there for him. I can imagine its hard on yourself also, as he was an uncle.

My Uncle and I only met a handful of times so I feel like i'm kind of a jerk because i'm not grieving more than I am. It always stings to lose another member of your bloodline, but this doesn't feel personal to me outside of my father's pain. I just know it's another member that carried my last name through good times, tough times, and in between...that will no longer be carrying the name. Under any context..that's sad.

Yeah, I feel you bro. Don't worry if you never met him as much, you never got to connect with him, so your level of grievance is fine, as long as your there for your dad, your doing great!

Thanks Man!

Did you put an order through yet? I'm really anxious to see what you think after the first doses, haha

Nah, I have a store that I have stuck by for a long time, so I'm trying to talk the owner into picking up MST products, but if he doesn't I'll just order from Nutraplanet, Tuesday. I'm very excited also haha.

hahaha Shhhh...my tough guy street cred is totally falling apart right now! :icon_lol:

haha! yeah, the tough guy facade only lasts so long:-)

Deuce is good people!

What is that nonsense you speak of?! Two of the last Six bags...like...ever? So it's a limited time offer or what? Jeez...you just made me so nervous, hahaha.

What do you recommend next Poison? That Ethiopian looked enticing...

Lol, a 'bag' is 150lbs, so I have 300lbs, enough for a couple months for me.

haha ah yes....that's much better on my stress levels ;)

Are all your coffee blends as good as this one at supplying energy? My girlfriend hasn't really felt the effects like me or her brother have....but I was bouncing off the walls after a cup of this stuff! I love it.

11/2/08 - Day 28

Overview : Took it fairly light today. Just did some football drill type stuff to get loose for tomorrow. Going to do a good session with my trainee and I want to get him rolling in the right direction early. Should be a lot of fun. He will hate me and he will be sore when we are through....but he will thank me later on. I will be doing all the same things as him...so expect me to have a nice update tomorrow.

I did an exceptionally poor job of getting my supplements in today. I was kind of in a hurry up all day long and just forgot a lot of stuff.

Saturday- In Faith, I prep:

Meal #4 - bowl of red grapes, 2 eggs scrambled with organic ketchup

Pics of the Day - Today I spent some money that I should not have spent...but it's my last real "splurge" for a while. I know a guy who is an aspiring pro bodybuilder that sells Authentic NFL Jerseys pretty cheap. Either way....any Cowboy Fans follow along with my log?

Coffee doesn't kick me into gear, really, so I don't see a difference between them. It is a tasty caffeine delivery system, though, for sure! :food:

Coffees caffeine levels vary by origin, region, and crop, so I have no idea how much each coffee contains. It would vary by season, even. But in general, a light roast retains more caffeine, and the Nicaragua you have is a lighter roast. :D

Nice jersey, and looking stout!

Ah yes that makes sense I suppose :). Don't worry...you haven't seen the last of my business by a long shot, haha.

Thanks on the Jersey. I'm amped about my mass level at the moment....now I just wanna cut that b1tch up! haha. I have about 4 months left though...so i'm not too worried :head:

Jersey looks slick man, good game today.

Your team was looking good Deuce and Dallas looked like ****.:head:

haha it's true. The Giants look tough...I just hope they don't follow in the Patriots footsteps. That's what concerns me the most. They play real tough football all season and kick a ton of arse....and then come the SuperBowl (if they make it)...they're just too beat.

11/3/08 - Day 29

Overview : Today was fun for the first part. I say for the first part...because as it has been a problem for about a week straight now...I went off diet slightly again tonight. I have sworn to myself this won't be happening anymore...and I MEAN it. I actually got angry with myself tonight. It's not that i'm eating poor choices...its that i'm eating far too much per sitting. I cannot tame this hunger AT ALL.

Early in the day was training with my AFL hopeful. I made the mistake of only eating a banana before we went and I was running out of gas kind of early. The good news is that I was still ahead of him in conditioning by a LONG shot. He is just getting back into it so I went light on him. I tore up his hammies and quads pretty good he said...so thats a good sign :head:
