Splitting it in theory won't make a difference in terms of the speed at which you will break it down. But, I wouldn't for the following reasons:
1. 2 shots means you need to sterilise 2 areas, load 2 syringes using 2 loading needles and 2 shooting needles, if you want to be totally clean about things. Effectively you're doubling the costs of your ancillaries, and you are also making it more difficult to accurately deliver the same amount (there is wastage on the pulling and pinning of every shot - your technique dictates how much). Accurately measuring 2 x 1ml doses is harder than accurately measuring 1 x 2ml dose without wastage. The less shots you load and pin, the less steroid you will waste.
2. Irrespective of your proficiency and style, an injection will cause minor inflammation and minute scar tissue build up to the injection site. Your experience and ability at injection will determine how much. This is only minor, but splitting your dose doubles this.
3. Depending on what you are cycling and how many times per week you are injecting to keep levels stable, splitting sites for the same injection, especially when you are talking about quads and 1 - 2ml, means that you are taking out a site you could use next time, or you're giving each site less time to heal and recover. If you were using a short ester or aqueous Winstrol, you're either using a LOT of injection sites or massively reducing this recovery time.
4. Based on the amounts you are talking about, your quads should be able to handle it without splitting adequately. It is a large muscle; I am doing 5ml into mine and I don't have huge legs at all. If you were talking about bicep or tricep injections, or pec injections, then gauging the right amount is much more critical as it is a smaller muscle. Trust me, you can take it; this is all to do with your technique and I can't stress this point enough.
Hope this helps, but ultimately this is just advice and it's your decision.
