Q & A FOR OR1GIN

In the most friendly way, this is an Olympus Labs thread, in the Olympus Labs subforum. Everybody has already been kindly asked NOT to turn it into something else.
Thanks for the cooperation.

They were simply asking if the ingredient in this product gives the same effect as the ingredient's effects claimed in another company's product. 100% valid question and in no way disrespects OL. Come on man.

Simple answer is no. Its doesn't have the claimed effect of that product.

The answer is no, as already stated a few pages back.
My reply had nothing to do with disrespect to OL, otherwise I wouldn't have posted "in the most friendly way" ;)

Safe to run this on a keto diet? Last time I did Ghar1ne (on keto diet), I nearly passed out and almost went hypoglycemic. I know the two products aren't related at all but the mutual ghrelin effect is what I'm on about.

The initial question was fine.
Tagging the representative from another company was not appropriate.
Oh good lord the Internet pissing matches are astounding. Smh. Thanks

Because it will do nothing as an AI.
Ya ive done quite of bit of research my self (granted i dont have acesses to lots of text and dont spend every waking second doing research, and not necessarily the smartest either and some does go over my head) but i have never found any scientific evidence proving it having any ai properties.

I don't get why this topic is still going. Comparing these two things is like comparing crude Green Tea extract, to (-)-Epicatechin for effects. Apples and oranges.

(not calling your post out BTW)

Kind of regretting buying Or1gin now. Spending 150 dollars in early September and not getting the product for a month is pretty ridiculous. Could have just gotten Test1fy and X-Gels/EP1C Unleashed stack and already had it in hand.

Yeah man, waiting sux. But, we all knew this was a pre-sale.

Eh. OL products tend not to disappoint so I'm just going to sit back and wait for mine. I'm not in a hurry.

:sad2:

I hear ya man. I'm really sorry for the delay. Or1gin was stated to be 2-3 weeks out; now, to make sure it's done right, it's 4. Sucks for everyone, me included, but I promise you, it'll be worth it. Good Gainz come to those who wait. :)

You can extract both Ephedrine and Vitamin C from Ephedra afterall.

It's all good. It's nobody's fault and I understand that the company wants to make sure it's right before releasing. I should have picked something else up to run in the interim, it's my bad! lol

Horphag Research (Hoboken, NJ) recently shared study results on its Robuvit French oak-wood (Quercus robur) extract that suggest the ingredient improves triathlon performance, endurance, and recovery in athletes aged 30–40. The announcement comes just a few months after Horphag Research first made Robuvit available in the United States.

The 2015 study included 54 amateur athletes, half of whom consumed 300 mg of Robuvit daily for two weeks. Supplementation groups were not randomized, but instead based on participant choice following a preliminary briefing. The remaining 27 participants served as a control group that did not consume a placebo. Both groups followed the same training routine, while overall nutrition choice was “completely left to the participant,” the study authors explain.

Following two weeks of triathlon training and Robuvit supplementation in the experimental group, researchers found that the Robuvit group experienced greater improvements to swimming and biking time than the control group, as well as a greater decrease to average running time (12.32% decrease for the Robuvit versus 3.6% decrease for the control). Overall, total triathlon time improved by -10.56% in the Robuvit group, compared to -3.41% in the control group.

“The -10.56% shorter total triathlon time was considered as very good improvement, considering that for this type of athletes, being almost at the top of their form, it is difficult to improve even further without severe training,” researchers noted.

Recovery Improvements

Beyond the performance improvements, researchers also noted that several markers of recovery, including post-run muscular pain, cramps, straining, localized pain, and recovery time, “were all considered better” in the Robuvit group, based on subjective assessments completed by study participants. Plasma free radical (PFR) values taken one hour after the final run were also an average of 16.98% higher in the control group, which may indicate higher levels of oxidative stress in the control group than in the Robuvit group. Researchers used a photometric system to measure reactive oxygen metabolites with the d-ROMS test.

“The presence of post-exercise plasma free radicals is what has been associated with the delayed onset muscle fatigue that many individuals can experience after a triathlon, or even activity their body isn’t accustomed to,” says Frank Schoenlau, PhD, director of scientific communications at Horphag Research.

Fred Pescatore, MD, nutraceutical consultant for Horphag Research, explains that Robuvit “cuts down on the chemical processes that impede your top performance,” such as oxidative stress.

A 10% improvement in triathlon time is phenomenal. Wish I had known about Robuvit back in my professional cycling days.

This has probably already been said but I can't find it. How long can this be taken?

I think the generally consensus is using for 8-12 weeks and then a 4 weeks break. But what I have heard from OL reps and Danes that it could be used all year round if the funds allows it. :)

It reminds me of Pycnogenol:
CONCLUSION: This study opens an interesting new application of the natural supplementation with Pycnogenol that, with proper hydration, good training and nutritional attention may improve training and performances both in normal subjects and in semi-professional athletes performing at high levels in difficult, high-stress sports such as the triathlon.
"Evaluation of the effects of supplementation with Pycnogenol on fitness in normal subjects with the Army Physical Fitness Test and in performances of athletes in the 100-minute triathlon."

Not that it's a bad thing; Pycnogenol is pretty nice, but pretty expensive.

Looking forward to the 2 bottles of Or1gin I have coming! :)

It's a very interesting formula, and it seems like it'll stack very well with lots of other products! Robuvit seems very nice, and I'm a big fan of Gentian, especially when bulking, and was actually thinking of finding some in bulk to use regularly, but I may just go with Or1gin now.

Gentian is amazing. I really do have huge appetite but while on Gentian, even eating huge dose of red meat, my stomach felt great and hungry lol. Its really good for digestion support too

Exactly. I can eat a pound + of beef, plus rice and other food and not feel bloated or stuffed (and I'm a pretty light guy). Gentian + buffets = Amazing! (and great for bulking).

You two are making me even more impatient to start my run. 3 month run coming up! 6 weeks will be on anabolics also then during pct.

Will this be of any use during a cut to preserve muscle? Do I need more carbs for it to work?

Definitely will be beneficial for preserving muscle (given you can control you cals) when cutting, we discussed it back in this thread, post 163 has relevant information for you.

Yep.

In short: Cutting = reduced IGF-1/anabolism, Or1gin = increased Ghrelin/GH/IGF-1/MyoD/Ribosome-Biogenesis/anabolism.

Personally, no less than 6 months. This is obviously NOT to say a shorter run isn't going to provide many benefits, for those wondering.

Testify doesn't
Hmm.... I may have to revise my original plan of 8 weeks on, 4 off, 8 on....
