Hi,

Today I started taking a non-stim pre workout again. I chose Nuclear Pump from Peak Performance Labs. Something I immediately noticed was that during my training, resting heart rate was alot lower then other trainings and it also got lowered faster.

Could this be from the product?

Nitric oxide supplementation appears to lower blood pressure in patients with prehypertension and might be beneficial as a routine supplementation for cardiovascular protection.

Definitely could be the supplement, many non stim pump products work on the same things as pde5 inhibitors like tadalifil and viagra. Both of wich lower heart rate and blood pressure.

I think that anything that relaxes the vessels will, to some degree, slow the heart rate. And anything that constricts them will increase heart pressure.

I mean, the ingredient profile is filled with vasodiolators so this is to be expected.

I personally have never understood the point of NO products that contain stimulants as they are vasoconstrictors and somewhat negate the entire purpose of taking an NO supplement.

Already want to thank you all for replying.
I knew that these products would lower BP but never stood still by the heart rate lowering effect.

To me it was really noticeable. I train powerlifting and my heart rate would go to 130-170 at my top sets and backoffs and then come back to around 90ish to 100 in the first 30-60sec after that.

Now it goes to 150 and it drops to 70 quite fast and after a minute it would already be at 60 or a bit lower.

There is a high chance that it was due to the supplement.
