PT jobs at Bally's

Are they a good gym to work for? I was wondering because i'm studying to get my certification right now, and I know that they don't require certification to be a trainer there. I want to get some experience somewhere in training before I go elsewhere, which I would do anyways. I do have two kids though to provide for. I've noticed that they're always hiring for PT's. What's up?

I've heard Gold's is a good place to get hired.

Look at Bally's clientele. It's mostly a fitness gym; not a place many people are trying to get big. You have to realize coming into personal training that the vast majority of people will not have the same goals that you do, which makes things interesting at best, frustrating at worst. It's also very rare you will get someone truely motivated to get in shape; most that I have experience with just want someone to force them to come to the gym, if not because you say so, but because they feel obligated since they are paying money.

If you just want experience, go for it. It can't be too bad, and you will learn if you are cut out to do PT (not in experience but in mindset to deal with people).

With that said, you can make good money in PT. Just keep up on your certs. Which cert are you going for?
