Just wanted to come on here to mention i finally found something that has dramatically improved my digestive health. Over the past 4 years or so, I’ve tried several products. Probiotics, various herbal supplements, glutamine (very limited benefits), peppermint oil (very limited benefits), chlorella/spirulina and many others I don’t even remember. I actually feel kinda dumb not figuring this out much quicker. Seems so obvious looking back. But as it turns out, Psyllium Husk has been the magic bullet for me. I’ve been using it for over 2 months now, and there’s been about a 85-90% improvement in my digestion. This means less frequent BMs, better regularity, nice solid turds (vs diarrhea all the time) and less bloating. It has been a HUGE deal for me, as I’m eating more and most foods don’t seem to bother me now. While I still get some rumblings, reflux and an unsettled stomach occasionally, the improvements have been dramatic.
Just something I wanted to share in case anyone might be having similar issues and hasn’t tried this. I take the NOW brand, and started out at a small dose. I started increasing after a few days or so, and noticed some improvement after several days. I kept upping the dose until I was at the max (3 caps 3x daily), and things just got better and better from there. It just feels good to finally find something that works for me! Maybe it’ll help someone else who reads this.
