Protein?

What was the bigger scam? Spiked protein with aminos or the new super proteins with transparent label claiming to be better? With proper diet in place I have seen zero difference between the 2, new protein flavors are better as is profile but not worth the increased price.

I think as a whole when companies get that saying one product is better then another just because, the market will change. Flavors that have been emerging I think with equal profiles will make a bigger difference. The consumer can then vary their flavors more and will purchase more units to be able to do that. Its nice to see that the days of just vanilla and chocolate are long gone.

Agreed 100%. The amino spiking was definitely annoying, but I see no difference in recovery or muscle gain with newer "advanced" protein supplements vs. the tried and true whey products.

If your diet is on point, the small variables don't make much (if any) difference overall IMO.

Yeah for me buying whatever is on sale or even cheapest has stood up to the newer proteins, zero difference except maybe flavor. But flavor was never a top concern for me.

The first is a scam, the second is a marketing technique - but at least you get what you pay for.

The protein market is highly saturated and so makers have to find a way to differentiate their protein from the 100s of other similar products.

I think then the only brand who has done that effectively is dymatize, with their zero fat, zero carb and low cholesterol at an actually affordable price. Beyond those factors nothing else matters as long as it’s complete protein.

Agreed. I don't really care too much about the flavor i'm more concerned with quality and the amount of protein i'm getting from it.

The pricepoint of the Dymatize Iso is solid for what you get. I still don't see much benefit in isolate vs. concentrate though, and I typically prefer a mix of casein or milk + whey protein. I think isolates can be great if you're super low carb, but other than that I can't justify spending the extra money for it
