What is more important for a mobile athlete (boxer, basketball, soccer, mma, and etc.) This is a more general yet direct question for you guys.

If you can only have one than its protein by a long shot. Not only are you getting in the BCAAs but EAAs (which again include the BCAAs) as well as multiple other nutrient factors. Plus you can create a wide variety of custom powders with todays customizable options and varied pre made blends.

worrrd!

nice avy btw. Id bag her in 1/2 a second if i had an opening. :toofunny:

BCAAs due to their fast nature and for anti-catabolic properties. I prefer whole food sources of protein, but I keep whey around for the periods when I am crunched for time.

BCAAs standalone is hardly an option. Complete protein synthesis is not possible without the full essential amino acids (EAAs)! Whenever cellular levels of BCAAs (more precisely l-leucine) rise, the body is signalled to initiate protein synthesis. BCAAs play a dual role: They (more precisely l-leucine) trigger protein synthesis and also support muscle growth and prevent anti-catabolism. To be fully effective, therefore, BCAAs need the other EAAs! So, my approach is always to make sure I have enough EAAs. Then I take extra BCAAs. Then extra L-Leucine!

What he said :clap2:

I'll have to say it depends on diet and outside supplementation.

If you're already eating lots of whole foods with plenty of natural proteins, then BCAA's are more important than protein powder.

If you're drinking a lot of protein shakes to make up for an imperfect diet, then super enzymes and BCAA's are more important than more protein powder.

If you don't have a good diet in the first place, protein powder is firstly important.
