Hey I've been looking for a good protein blend to take before bed. I have been using BSN Syntha 6, but looking for a change. Thinking of possibly Ultra Peptide or Ultra Peptide 2.0 (not quite sure the difference). Any suggestions would be appreciated!
BSN synth-6 is over priced in my opinion for G/serving. i typically use ON or ATW. ON is known to cause bloating for some people though. both have awesome flavoring. i would suggest casein for bed time ( its a slow digesting protein helps prevent catabolism) and then a whey after WO, or whenever you take it
Any type of casein or casein mix would be great before bed.. I just buy bulk from AllTheWhey or True Protein and with casein as the primary protein (and usually an egg or whey or something else)..
It's great to buy in bulk -- and tons of flavors too..
If I remember correctly when I was looking at the two, 1.0 has a little more protein per serving than 2.0 does. I personally have been using the 1.0 for about a month now and I really like it. I've only tried to vanilla but it's a great tasting protein. I've mixed 2 scoops w/ 16 ounces of skim milk right before bed, an hour after I take my ZMK. Had great success lowering my recovery time. I've never tried 2.0 but would def. recommend 1.0.
LOL no1 has adressed this for you yet sorry i guess i will
First off my protein of choice is UP 1.0 w/o a doubt. The 2.0 has some added fats and carbs as it is more of a lean gainer. The 1.0 is more of your straight protein powder(being a very nice blend of casein/whey). 2.0 tastes better due to added fat/carbs but 1.0 tastes amazing as well. I feel that Ultra Peptide is of the top quality you can use and XF is a great company that i like to support.
Hey thanks for the help....decided to go with All The Whey Micellar Caseins and picked up some whey isolate (Cinnamon Bun Flavored!!!) as well. Can't wait to try these!
