So I just drank this cause I was in a hurry to get to work from the gym. $4 for it.... but oh lord did it taste good! My question now: how can I mix my own protein, or create something similar? All my protein shakes tastes really bad... Any tips? What to buy, which brand, what to mix with, temperature, let it sit for a while? Thanks!

It's a little more expensive because it's a hydrosolate, but I really like the Gaspari Precision protein. I just bought 2 4lb tubs on BOGO 50% off with a 6% off coupon code. Total was 85.94 which equals 42.97 each.

Damn! $42 for 4 lbs? That sounds great if it is great protein with a great taste. I thought about Trutein... But I don't know. Do you mix it with water?

Costco Optimum nutrition gold standard $60 for 90 servings. You can get it on sale for $45. Mix with milk... best protein out there imo

Water or almond milk, on occasion regular milk. But my stomach isn't a fan of lactose, so I try to typically avoid milk.

Any benefits to almond milk compared to normal milk? How is the taste
Almond milk doesn't have the lactose if you're intolerant and fewer calories if you're trying to maintain a defecit, but in my opinion, it's much better than just water as it is thicker. I also like cashew milk, but it's more expensive which is why i typically go with almond milk.

Lots of good proteins out there

are you looking for a post training recovery drink or just whey protein?

Recovery

someone mentioned Gaspari Precision protein
Millennium Sports 100% New Zealand grass fed Whey
Controlled labs Promore

I second the Gaspari Precision protein. I really like Nitropro by Hi-Tech. Specifically double dutch chocolate

Some good ones on here, if you like thicker shakes, check out PES Select, all flavors have a very bold taste and are delicious in milk or water
