Whey is a complete protein. BCAA's have only three amino acids (parts from which proteins are built from), L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine. BCAA's are anticatabolic and whey is anabolic. This is my understanding of those supplements. Everybody else, please correct mistakes and fill blanks if needed
They're both anabolic and have their own uses. As already said, whey is a complete protein unlike BCAAs and makes it more suitable as a protein source for a meal.
