:frustrate My buddy was telling me if you take whey protein after u lift... and eat a little something on top of it w/ the shake its not as effective is that tru? B/c the protein is just primarily repairing your muscles anywho why would it matter

It depends on what you eat. If you eat a fatty meal, it will slow the digestion of your whey, which you do not want. But his reasoning is false.
