I rarely do raids, so I hardly have any legendaries. My highest CP is a 3053 TTar, followed by a 3015 Dragonite. I have candy and dust to level them up more, but I guess I just viewed it as diminishing returns, so I'm not dumping all that dust into them. Lots of stuff between 2000-2600 though haha.
 
Man is it just me or is Wailmer a bigger pain than Magikarp... I have only seen him as a raid boss since it was added

Pretty much. It seems pretty arbitrary too. Magikarp was known for being a PITA to level up and evolve using splash, but I don’t recall Wailmer being that weak. It’s been a while though.
 
I may just walk him to speed it up... but I should look up if the evolution is at least as good as Gyrados
 
I have a Feebas now but it has a crappy rating, I’m guessing only the specific one walked can then be evolved... If I just need candy via walking one and I can evolve another I may walk that now instead of Wailmer

If I understand it feebas will auto evolve Once it hits the km required.

I’ve caught about 5 wailmers and raided one or two more but man is that gonna take forever for what essentially is a dex entry or entertainment in a gym ha

But I think it’s also 100 candy. Does that mean it’d auto-spend the candy? I’d imagine it’s more like the walking Eevee to evolve into Espeon/Umbreon, except it won’t let you evolve until the walking and candy requirements are met.

That’s probably true. I didn’t realize the candy aspect was there too.

hahaha i remember when this first came out saying " i swear to god if I see some jackass sitting in the squat rack for an hour becuase he's playing between sets I'm going to lose it"... I refuse to have anything other than a training app (which is required for my coaching) in the gym... used to not even take my phone and only tracked workouts via paper and then more recently on my watch app that doesnt require phone access ha. I'm a "shut it off" in the gym kind of guy
 
Still just roll with a notepad myself, In for a Smartwatch that can track repetitions of arm exercises and earn candy jk

I still wish you could get egg credit for indoor cardio ha... would love all those stair stepper workouts to hatch my awful eggs (since that 100% barboach the other day I'm back to normal... a crap IV totodile, crap wurmple, a ghastly and something else from gen 1 ha...)

The ice/water type is almost almost within my weather bonus here I already have 4 Walreins all over 90%, and enough candy for another.

I guess I just evolve to the second form for xp and delete them from here on out, I already have 2 good Articunos and Lapras’

Also I’m grumpy Groudon gets 1.5 months by the looks of it. Makes Ho-Oh the only to have a 2 week stay and I never caught the damn thing. 4 Groudons caught now

Swimming in spheal in every state I’ve been to ha. Sick of them for sure.

Groudon is gone now. Kyogre popping up as of this afternoon.
 
I saw that and ran to a raid maybe 30 mins after I posted that lol

Man Kyogre is a tough one, 9 ppl all 30+ had 60 seconds left so probably an 8 minimum

Jana and I both missed it, only 2 of the 9 there caught it
 
Still no Kyogre but I got an EX Raid pass I can hopefully make it to on the 24th

oh man congrats! I've pretty much assumed I'll never get one cuz of how random and far between my raiding tends to be. oh well.

did get a kyogre this weekend tho (1/3) 89% so not terrible. missed two more but both were lower cp/iv
 
This will be my second EX pass but the first I got at an account out of town and I couldn’t be there

This one I got from a Groudon raid about a 7-8 minute walk away, I’ll be there early
 
1 for 6 on Kyogre and it’s only a 70-80%

Mewtwo attempt on Wednesday
 
Got an ex raid pass from the raid I did with like 200ppl on the event day (which was awesome for our crowd). Of course, I’ll be 1000mi away that day ha. Gonna try to have one of my fiancé try it (which should be funny as she hasn’t played in like 6mo and can’t throw a curve ha).

Me too... so bummed I got it for the one raid I did thats not even close to my house too. Literally that day was the only time I have ever been to that park or even close to it ha. The system is just poorly designed

Kyogre with Blizzard is insanity. I just lost 14 mon in my attempt at it with 7 people. Caught it but it was dumb just watching absolutely everything get 1-hit (it had weather bonus too) 7 seconds remaining on the takedown, at maybe 60s out I started doubting we had enough DPS left on our 3rd starting lineup but just made it

83% but came at over 2850 CP with the water moveset so definite keeper

Yeah I was doing one last week and the group I was with had said "oh blizzard is the easiest"... I started laughing because clearly they hadn't experienced it yet ha. Blizzard=slaughter. it takes at least 2 extra people to do a blizzard vs a pump or thunder for sure. I did a pump with 5 I think (by 2-3sec mind you) but blizzard I wouldn't even attempt unless 7+

Wait, you mean Mewtwo doesn't fly all over the screen, attack 3 times in a row without pause, and magically have your throws go through his face too? Man, I expected more from the OG boss ha.

Even tho they moved Kyogre closer, I found him just as hard to hit and swear at least 3 of m balls went THROUGH him. such a miserable catch.

Bleh went 1/3 on back to back kyogres today. All awful it’s too. One I caught was only 2280. Other two were even worse.
 
I’m up to 6 caught lol I started hitting raids hard for rare candy, want to get Mewtwo to my top CP spot.

You’re onto something with the ratings/CP. Of all those Kyogres and the 2 Jana has, the best IV is a 83.

its everyon around here in ATL as well as wisconsin ppl... 2300+ (non boosted) are almost unheard of... I've seen 1 of the 9 I've done (did catch but only 89% and 2306cp). all the rest were 2280's or below.
 
Do you guys know how the CP scaling works compared to player level?

Do your existing pokemon CP caps raise as you level or do you have higher CP cap mon available to hatch/catch as you level up?

I just read both of those answers on other forums so I’m asking the pros here ;)

The Pokémon you already caught will not gain CP when you level up. Leveling up (your account) will raise the cap for you Pokemon. For mon that aren’t at their current cap, that means maybe they can be leveled up 6 times instead of 4 now (random example). Eggs hatched are always the same level I think. Raids too, besides weather boosts. Maybe higher CP mon in the wild? At least during weather boost, as I think the cap is lower without it.
 
Ok good I was just comverned my older mon (like Dragonites caught when I was level 15-20) would have a lower cap and should be traded in

Cp cap is relative to the IV and trainer level but the cap goes up with your trainer level.

A 100% IV dragon will have the same final max cp when you level up (even if it was 10cp when you caught it and you were level 1) as if you caught it at lvl 35 and 3000 cp

Congrats, someone needed a good one already!

Groups here are all looking for Aggron now, but I’ve seen so many of the basic form I bet I’ll get my best one by evolving. Already have a few good ones almost maxed on CP
