Hey how's it going am? I'm getting ready to do insanity and have been told and seen many good results with insanity. However I'm torn on whether or not taking prohormones while completing insanity is a good idea. I was wondering if I should take them and what to take. My stats are 5'11 195 15% bodyfat. Been working out for 8 years recovering from pt and needless to say I have been out of gym for a while hence the reason why I am doing insanity. Please let me know your opinions. Thanks guys. I appreciate it.

I would wait bro. Get on a good diet, hit weights hard... Build up... While doin so, do lots of research. Not just on what to take but pct, how everything affects your body... Etc.... :-)

I would say skip the insanity get a better diet and start lifting more and decent cardio. Insanity isnt renowned for massive muscle gains it is almost all just fat loss. High intensity training with high intensity interval training means more muscle gained and on par fat loss as insanity as long as you dial in your diet.

Skip the insanity, plyometrics etc are meant to be controlled movements, not for fat loss. Pick up a normal lifting routine, add in cardio and get a good diet.

this fad stuff is long term and in some cases short term (tendon tears) horrible for your joints/musculature

If you are looking purely for fat loss then Insanity will do this provided your diet is in check. I use some of the workouts a couple of times each week as HIIT when I am cutting and it certainly helps with the fat loss.

You're starting from a pretty decent position with 15% BF and 195lbs so I would agree with the other posts and use weights/LISS to trim the fat and maintain/build muscle. You could add in the occasional Insanity workout if you wanted to use HIIT to speed up the fat loss.

If you do decide to go with Insanity then don't bother using a PH. A lot/most PHs give people back pumps and with all of the jumping/squating with Insanity this is going to make sticking with the workout difficult.
