Do you just have trouble with formatting it or applying appropriate verbiage to explain your experience/skill set?

All of the above. Its also an issue transferring my skill sets and knowledge from a highly militarized career field to something understood in the civilian world.

I can send you one of mine, then just delete/add your info etc. should help with the formatting. What I look for in resumes and applications is not just the content, but how it is presented/stated. Have someone you know with some writing/literary skill review it. Even small errors in resumes stick out.

Also, don't try to dumb down too much of the military specs. Include a cover letter that exhibits professionalism and sound character without going overboard on enthusiasm. When you are in an interview you can explain/illustrate how your military training would extrapolate to their needs of the position. Also, always research the company and position as much as possible.

The best interviews are the ones where the employer has to ask few questions. Sell them what you do well and be honest about what you want to improve on.

Thank you for serving our country. Let me
Know if i can be of any more help.

I appreciate the offer man. I think after reading what you've said im going to need to sit down and work a cover letter as well. I've never been good at showcasing my talents on paper. My current resume has evolved drastically and it will get me a job anywhere in aviation. Unfortunately I dont want to work aviation any more due to the excessive travel.

You could look into flight instruction. There are a few simulator based programs here in central fl (lear, cessna, etc) Not sure how common they are elsewhere.
