Primordial Performance + FDA Raid!

really miss living in Philly. Hate houston weather, although today is perfect. 60 degrees, not a cloud in the sky

Houston is nice Spring and Summer correct? I ask because my job is thinking of moving me there; and I'm told the weather is nice there in those seasons

it's fun to show off to the neighbors...particularly the younger lazy ones!!!

i figure as long as i am strong and fit i might as well put it to use!!!
man after my own heart - who needs a damn snow blower?
(now if i lived in minnesota or something, might be a different story)
shoveling snow is about the only cardio i get in the winter

totally random, but -
anybody notice dude who started this thread was banned? :p

it is amazing to me how far people will go to avoid doing something productive like taking the stairs, pushing a walk behind mower or shoveling snow...no wonder people are so damned fat and lazy!!!

took 35 minutes to do my driveway and sidewalks and i was truckin....decent workout!!! seriously surprised at how heavy it was....maybe it's just me getting 'less younger'.....

By 54 I would have thought you would have a snow blower by now :)

I hope you don't work outdoors!

It's hot and humid all summer long (like 120 heat index). I've been away for a few years, but it didn't change much the 18 I was there so I can't imagine its much different.

Soooo on to gun control now? :)

I spotted your profile and wanted to mention something.

BayRidge/BoroPark/SunsetPark/Bensonhurst were my stomping grounds. Went to Brooklyn Tech H.S. a long time ago.

Lol nice. I'm from Williamsburg/Bedstuy. Bklyn tech is where my best friend went. Good school.

Williamsburg changed alot since I was a kid. Alot of hippies now. Area is very expensive now.

apparently it has become ammo control....tried to buy any ammo lately?

Haha actually yeah I went into gander mountain to buy some turkey rounds the other day and noticed how cleared out everything was. I talked to an employee there and he said on Thursday mornings (when their truck delivers) there's usually at least a 45 minute wait at the gun counter and people are lined up for ammo. Crazy.

My Dad was a cop in the 88th precinct in Bedsty.

I worked in Brooklyn Heights on Atlantic Ave when I was going the BTHS

I'm long overdue for a return rip. My last visit was when my Grandma passed. I did manage to catch a game at the old Yankee stadium before the move.

Now I'm getting homesick :)

You enjoy most places more when you are vacationing there. Granted it needs to be during the right season. NYC is like that.

Going to NYC Friday for the first NY visit in 2 years. Should be somewhat enjoyable, doing the MET which is always awesome.

shotgun and rifle ammo is easier to come by than small arms. try buying ammo for a 38/45/9mm, good luck!!! i know lots of guys who are making their own shotgun shells.

Don't forget the 22 caliber ammo. I can't any around here that will eject from a semi-auto. Everything left on the shelves are either made for revolvers or a bolt action.

Yeah they had plenty of turkey loads. I was referring to the small arms ammo (or lack there of) left on the shelves.

there is a thread in politics section about the feds buying up all the ammo. i guess that is a backdoor attempt at gun control????

I buy into that 100%. That is just step 1 in the process. Sooner or later they will be coming after certain guns and then later others til they have almost all of them. It's actually ingenious... jerks!!!!!!!!!!
:soapbox:

Repost here, please. I'm curious now.

You're lucky I'm bored and sittin on the toilet!

OP
An interesting article in Forbes highlighting Homeland Security's purchase of enough ammo to run a 20 year long hot war or sustain 100 years of target practice ( the relevance of modern weapons in 100 years?) along with new armored vehicles and cons$50, 000, 000 spent on new uniforms.

The title is a reference to Buffalo Springfield

I don't see it as that huge of a deal. There's numerous law endorcement agencies within DHS. DHS isn't arming itself as a department, but arming its agencies-as they should.

-United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
-U.S. Customs and Border Protection
-Federal Emergency Management Agency
-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
-Transportation Security Administration
-United States Coast Guard
-National Protection and Programs Directorate
-United States Secret Service

I could see how that funding could be rightfully spread through those agencies. "100 years of target practice" Sure, 100 cumulative years. Not 100 years for each individual agency. Especially for the different types of weapons they're armed with. I haven't read the article yet but from how it sounds, it seems the media just twisted everything.

Response:
For ALL of the agencies that fall under the DHS, there is 120,000 agents/officers that carry guns. That 1.6 billion is an old number, as of right now the total ammo count is just over 2 billion.

Ignoring the fact that they purchased mostly 40 cal hollow point (which is illegal in war) and pointless in target practice compared to cheaper ball ammo.

120,000 divided by 2 billion is 16,666 rounds per person.

My response
Then divide up for M16, M4, M240B, Sig 40s, Glocks, FNs, training ammunition, ammunition for whatever academy, lot numbers kept in storage, ammunition givin to police departments through federal funding ect ect ect. We can play numbers all day long. We still don't know all the facts. I just don't want people to be so quick to jump on conspiracy theories and going to war.

And in response to the hollow points and war...DHS doesn't go to war..DOD does, so what's the problem?

Good for you! Over the years I have done a lot more of the touristy cultural stuff that my parents always wanted us to do when we lived there as kids and we hated to do.

I very highly recommend these two:

Thanks ! You didn't debunk anything though. Some of the departments you mentioned are running into shortages now because of the DHS buying up all the ammo. There is something way bigger than you think getting ready to happen.

What is your reason for them buying all the armored vehicles?

Eh I don't care. Conspracy or not, I'm glad to see them buying this stuff to keep on our soil instead of giving it to other countries.

I like to pretend I debunked it!!! but yes, stuff happens in the government that we will never know about. maybe that's a good thing though. I like to feel that Uncle Sam has our back. I'm an optimist

Nothing wrong with being an optimist! lol

I wouldn't mind it as much except it will be used against American's when the big civil unrest starts.

Ohio County Suing Punxsutawney Phil Over Failed Prediction

Where is spring? Sure, the calendar says it is spring, but you wouldn’t know it by the weather lately. And Western New York isn’t the only place that is stuck in the winter weather pattern. Some areas are taking their anger out on an age old predictor for failing fraud!
Because Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow, the prediction is that we will enjoy an early spring. That clearly hasn’t happened. Invalid Link Removed

I love the snow, but I have to admit that I am even ready for the warmer weather to arrive and get the spring fun started. It seems that people are not in as good a mood these days, and I think the weather had a lot to do with that. From seasonal affect disorder (SAD) to depression, the dark days and cold temperatures have got people down and certainly doesn’t do much for motivation.
But taking it to the level of a lawsuit against an animal?? They may be a bit extreme. However, it does open the food for future lawsuits against forecasters. Imagine if you had a big event planned, and the weather man called for sunny skies…and the day of the event, it rained!! True, Mother Nature is unpredictable, but in a world where people sue fast food joints for getting them fat, anything is possible!

I don't think this thread would be complete with out some mention of zombies.

How would you want the world to end?
1.) Zombie apocalypse
2.) Alien attack
3.) Killer robots

None of the above super intelligent sharks.

As another derail.

Anyone notice that southwestbbb kid who only posts in the Anabolic section?

Guys 19 years old, done tren at 900mg a week and is already planning to blast and cruise. Wtf is wrong with people?!

I'm going to play devils advocate; not because I don't agree with your stance, which I do, but rather because you can't have a debate if everyone agrees with you, so here goes:

Uhm, have they found any evidence of life on any planet yet? Concrete, hard evidence that, if disputed in court, would hold up as evidence?

:D

Josh has a pretty solid argument. We are made by the very elements that were created by stars.. We are not unique in that sense..

Not too mention the sheer vastness of our galaxy which is 100,000 light years across in distance. let alone the freaking universe (that is expanding perpetually faster and faster as time goes on) which contains, to the best of our knowledge, hundreds of billions of galaxies!!
