preworkout - bloat

does anyone here suffer from bloat after taking a preworkout drink?

I workout at 5am / 2 days a week and need a preworkout to get me going, I've noticed that everytime I take a preworkout, the next 7-8 hrs theres a lot of abdominal bloat and have loose stools it could be due to caffeine and stims. After 8 hrs everything gets back to normal. Are there any hacks to control the bloat? I love the feeling of preworkouts but the bloat is just annoying
 
Never experienced bloat from a or workout so can't help you there. As for the loose stools, caffeine is a stomach irritant for some individuals in high amounts.

How high of a stim pre workout are you using? Maybe try a lower caffeine content pre workout.

am not sure if its the caffeine or the other stims, I am using OL conquer unleashed, packs 300 mg of caffeine at 2 scoops, love the intensity it brings out in the gym but the after effects is a downer.

Are there any lower stim preworkouts (range of 150 - 200 mg caffeine) that are quite effective in terms of focus and endurance?
 
Some ingredients, such as choline, can cause GI distress. However, most report loose stool soon after consumption. I've never heard of any pwo causing a bloat for 8 hours. I like Conqu3r, but there are a lot of ingredients. Maybe you could make your own pwo with some basics and go with process of elimination to see which ingredients don't sit well with you.

Could be the Choline which can be an issue for some people. Possibly too much caffeine can be the reasoning. it is very hard to pinpoint as pre-workouts can effect everyone different.

was going to say this. Caffeine itself can cause this and combine it with the choline and the results can be not the best!
 
for the record, i was always sensitive to caffeine. I've used C4, Katana V3 prior to Conquer. Both C4 and Katana will usually give loose stools right after consumption but no bloat. I guess I will have to go the route of making my own preworkout as Ant suggested.

Sometimes my stomach can get irritated if my stomach doesn't like an ingredient such as COP.

I'd try caffeine pills and see if it still happens.

As for other pre workouts, I love SNS Focus XT (200mg), Komodo Katana V4 (115 per scoop) which are both effective and inexpensive.
