anyhoo, that's great bro. i remember when you reported the 500lbs deadlift. didn't you puke or something afterwards? either way, that's awesome. props to ya and all the other hobbits in the shire :trout:

yup puked my tits off with 500 and it seemed like it took a year to pull .. today i felt fine ... it was a quick pull .. i just didn't have enough left for 525 .. had i gone straight from 495 to 525 i think i could have gotten it

oh and by the way thanks guys :)

no doubt. 10lbs difference in a max feels like no difference. are you conventional or sumo?

hehehe, you'd make a good comedian......if you weren't so big and scary:run:

Nice one Glen:woohoo:

thanks again guys

conventional beelze .. never tried sumo and no real desire too .. i'm no PLer just doing this as something different ... i love having deads as a back exercise (i realize it utilize legs but would utilize them far more if i did sumo)

i hear what you're saying kwycke although my joints never hurt from deads .. its just both shoulders and both elbows on a lot of upper body exercises haha

Were you pulling underhanded Glen? My PL'er buddy always gives me **** because I pull underhanded with straps..lol..I just tell him to beat it..

I do the opposite, and I am right handed but for some reason that hand always gives up..I have pulled a 400 1RM, but I know I could have gotten more if it weren't for these fvckin hands

Grats Glen.. that's is alot of weight.

:woohoo:

I've just begun to throw my gloves away and work on grip strength... With out hooks or straps, I would not be able to lift that sort of weight. :(

i gotcha. i stuck to conventional up until 6 bills, then the **** just hurt too much. if you start feeling any aches and pains during conventionals, might want to consider sumos. like kwyck said, they still fry your back, it's just a lot safer. read a report recently where conventionals and sumos were studied and the findings were sumo used 21% less energy than conventionals thereby having greater body-mechanical advantages. i can dig it up if ya'll are interested. pretty interesting study.

I don't doubt it... Your basically taking anywhere from a few inches to 6+ plus off your total stroke... depending on your hieght and foot position.

Check out how short this stroke is... And the impecable form, and beauty I might add.

unless my bmx weighed 400lbs then that's a negatie mullet :D

The top pulls are all conventional though... Bolton, Magnussen, Frank, etc. I think only one guy has pulled over 900 sumo.

I am stronger conventional, but sumo is easier on my back.

Beelze I'd like to see that study if you have time. When switching did your poundages decrease until you got used to the new form, or was it pretty much take off and go?
