PowerFULL Gave me Gyno!

nevergoodenough

Board Supporter
As I stated in a previous thread on here, I thought I might have gotten gyno. I have never had any lumps or symptoms previously, and after my 3rd week on powerfull I noticed a painful lump under my nipple. I stopped the powerfull and started the nolva for about 2 weeks and didnt see any change, not sure if it was gyno or lipoma I went to the doctor to be sure, and sure enough its gyno. (the doctor thought it was from creatine:blink: ) Powerfull was the only thing I was taking aside from my regular vitamins, so the blame can't be pushed anywhere else. I have never had it in the past and I have done some pretty "wet" stacks with no symptoms. So anybody could be at risk. Make sure you got some nolva on hand just in case.

I would not be terribly surprised that a phytosterol could do this as they can mimic other hormones so well. I've read lots of gyno claims from Tongat/ long jack users.

I used PowerFull at the end of cycle and loved it, but I did get a small lump which I attribute to the androgens. It is fading out with nolva and UHer use though. If it flairs up when I do PowerFull again, then that'd be pretty indicative.

The important thing is nolva and AIs like ATD will likely clear up the problem no matter what.

Could creatine even give you gyno?

No. It's not a hormone, it doesn't affect hormone levels.

At least we're relatively sure PowerFULL is doing something. Hopefully some of it is desirable.

Here's to good supplements that work!

I hope USP reads this and adds a disclaimer, so people are aware because this blows. My nolva is all gone and it will be a few days before my replacements get here, from what I've read it sounds like clomid can reduce gyno, could I use that in the meantime? I have afull bottle of that.

Did you read my post. I started off as one of the beta testers so I orignally had no idea what was in it. I also had no idea gyno was a possible side effect. Ask anyone who tested it if they thought they might get gyno, they will say no. I know what clomid does, and I know nolva is the #1 choice for gyno, but also as I stated previously I am out of nolva, and it wont get here for a few days. But I still have clomid and wanted to see if it could be used in the mean time, and from what I have read it sounds like clomid can be used for gyno. I'm not an expert by any means so I was asking if anyone else had further insight...thats what the board is for.

Clomid (Clomiphene) is the anti-estrogen of choice for improving recovery of natural testosterone production, improving testosterone production of endurance research rats and animals, and is also effective in reducing risk of gynecomastia during a test research phase.

Clomid is an effective antagonist in the hypothalamus and in breast tissue

There are a bunch others I dont feel like tracking them down at this time.
Didn't your mom ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all? Next time read the ENTIRE post before you lip off.:study:

Estrogen and I do not get along. I have a small case of gyno thats not noticeable to the human eye, but I know its present. Ergo irritated it, small dosages of testosterone irritate it, but with PowerFULL is not a problem.

I am listening and consulting with our research team and running blood test before we address your issue.

-yes you were a beta tester, which means you should know its a BETA that could cause problems. its a simple fact that you shouldn't be getting all pissed about, next time dont volunteer.

-so you asked a question that you already knew the answer for? thats cool.

-this board is here to ask questions that haven't been answered before, which that clomid question obviously has been asked and answered before.

my mom taught me a lot of things including common sense, one of which your mom seemed to have left out from your childhood.

i dont really want to get into a fight and this really isn't the place to do it, but if you want you can PM me instead of posting here.

Whatever, everybody is always looking for their shot to try to push themselves up by pushing someone else down, I searched and didnt find any specific answers to what I was asking so I posted in MY OWN thread to see if someone who knew more than me (which very well could have been you had you been helpful) could have maybe reccomened dosages until my replacements get here or simply said what I read was misleading. But this took the hard way and now look where this thread is.:frustrate

I'm not mad at USP whatsoever, I don't blame them at all, I knew I was going in blind when I Beta Tested, and I would do it again, I would just be more prepared. It came as more of a shock than anything. Typically with NH products gyno isnt something you have to worry about. So I'm just trying to inform others who thought like me to be prepared with more than just a 3/4 empty bottle of nolva incase it happens to them. PowerFULL is a great product and I will buy it again.

yes- you can- clomid and nolva are both SERMs, so they both compete w/ estrogen for receptor sites- from my own experience, they both work really well for inhibiting and/or preventing gyno- HOWEVER, they both have some weird, mental estrogenic side effects on me- they both make me real moody and depressed when i take them- kinda weird

re:

I actually thought my pseudo gyno has been less noticeable since starting PF.

It could be just that im losing some chest fat as I near the end of my EC and RXT cycle and PF has been said to help leaning out.

Dont think its real gyno though, its the puffy nipple thing with no lump that mysteriously dissapears when your cold.

I'm just starting week 3 of PCT and have noticed some changes in my nipple, like it's hard all the time. Could be nothing but I'm paranoid after reading this( but I'm stopping PF for now until I hear back in this thread. I ran PF during cycle and had no problems.
I'm not a gyno expert but would this be estrogen induced gyno or prolactin induced gyno if PF this product caused it? I'm already taking Nolva/UH/Retain. I will start taking B6 as well and drop Fenugreek.

sorry to not have any comment to your question here NGE but i also have had gyno in the past, for the buddy with the puffiness, you'll get a hard lump wich is usually tender->painful. my lump has since disapeared with treatment (used RXT standalone) but its common for me to still have slightly puffy nips that arent all that apealing but no tenderness or lump. i think with excess chest fat it might be the same, that is maybe the skins just stretched out now????

I have serious doubts about a doctor who diagnoses gyno and then says creatine is the culprit. I'm not sure this doctor even knows what gyno is let alone make a diagnoses.
