So we got a pool going here at work, 61 people entered at $5 per entry, so thats 305 powerball tickets.

Anyone else getting in on the craziness?
 
I wish... I'm originally from KY, and they have powerball, but I'm in IL now, and we have gay ass Mega Millions... No powerball for me :sad:
 
I always loved how people don't care about the lottery or whatever when its 3 or 4 million, but yeah once its 200 million then it's worth the dollar...

My mom emailed me asking for 6 numbers...maybe I will win...;)

yeah i think that is quite comical too. I usually buy a couple of tix anyways every week, but since everyone did a pool this time, I figure my chances would be better and its only $5. Still am going to get my own ticket...I just want to tell the place I work to F off.....
 
Goin over to Indiana after work to play my wife gave me some numbers, so wish me luck, everybody else good luck hopefully we can get som of this money!!!
 
A shot at 340 mil is worth a couple bucks. Too bad I forgot to tell the wife to pick some up before she left. Now I have to go out in the rain.
 
Actually I think we're going to go to Missouri and get one... we only live 20 mins away from st louis, what the hell, right?

Nah....that's the secondary jackpot...they won't let the pot increase by more than 25 million per draw after surpassing record levels. When the jackpot is won the people who get 5 white balls split the secondary (overflow) jackpot.

I know this site isn't for Powerball, but the MegaMillions does give out millions of dollars: Invalid Link Removed.
You pay $2.99 for a ticket and you get grouped with 9 other people, each of you getting a number. If anyone in the group wins anything, it is divided equally amongst everyone. So if some guy in my group wins the jackpot, I win 1/10 of that :thumbsup:
I know as soon as some of you finished reading that last line you thought, "Dang, only 1/10? That sucks!" Hey, it's m-i-l-l-i-o-n-s of dollars, more than enough for a lifetime of financial security.
So everybody go there and buy some tickets; you may help me win too :D
