Oh no dont get me wrong. After that night I went out and bought his album and that got me into drum and bass big time. I have been to some crazy dnb raves since. Not so many recently but back in the days when I was dj'ing I would do the illegal raves. They were wicked!

As for Pendulum this song still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. When this came out it was like no other dnb out. It was so musical yet so fat and dirty too. Love it!!

Nice list. Thanks bro....you should check out progressive to get in the zone during workouts. Kind of meditate during the build up and Xplode when it hits! Take a breather, switch tracks and repeat :dl:

haha always loved scatman, ever since the days of beavis and butthead when that stuff came on and they ripped on it. absolutely hilarious. Haha my age shows through, this show hasnt touched the air in a good ten years easy. i can see how you could get pumped off it though man! Good post
 
I've been racking my brains trying to remember the names of some of the tunes I used toplay when I used to DJ. Stupidly I sold my dnb vinyl as the scene went down hill big time in about 2002/3 ish if I remember correctly. There were some awfull tracks in the charts and the wrong type of people started turning up at events. You would go to a rave and there would be really drunk people just looking for a fight or really chavy people just not really understanding what was going on. The music played ( cheese )was aimed at these people and a lot of people(me included) got the hell out.

These are a few of the tunes I remember loving to drop into a set.

Not to sound like a broken record, but, "Sirens of the Sea" is an awesome trance/progressive build up for working up to the max set or progessive/intensive cardio....would love to find a a comparable tune if anybody has one!
