Just turned 41. About 6 yrs ago I tested my testosterone levels due to not feeling manly enough and it was very low normal - about 320ish. Not low enough for my urologist at the time to recommend anything. That started me on my workout and more manly way of living. 5x a week workouts. Constant research. Knowing what to eat/not eat. Being a part of this forum. I really transformed myself.
I have a case lately of severe low libido and either ED/performance anxiety. Decided to get my test levels checked. New Dr openly suggested test as a solution if my test levels came back low.
Test levels came back: total test 483. Half glass full i was super happy to have increased my testosterone through my lifestyle and workouts at an age where I would expect it to be going down. But realistically not sure what my next step can be since it’s more on the normal range - I haven’t followed up with the Dr yet but I’m pretty sure test will be out of the question. That having been said if if I got low libido, erection difficulty and more tired than usual these days that sounds like low test symptoms to me and regardless of what my actual level is symptoms are symptoms.
What would you suggest next steps to be? Do Dr’s still prescribe test for normalish ranges or maybe do they have other alternatives or will the Dr not help?
