Piriformis Syndrome

Came down with a nasty bout of piriformis syndrome 3 weeks ago that leads to tingling in my foot and stinging in my upper hamstring.

Anyone have experience dealing with this and recommendations for training legs around it?

Try youtubing stretches to find one that releases pressure. I had this happen once and after 5-10 minutes of stretches I was ready to go. No joke. I hope you are as lucky. Here is one decent video to get you started, but look at others and find one that works for your.

Thanks for the link.

Tried several of the stretches and exercises from the physical therapist I went to 2 years ago when this happened, coupled with a calf strain as well, and none o them seem to be working.

Might have to lay off training the right leg for a week or two....

I had problems with this, and it got bad, I squatted down 1 day to pick up my 2 year old and damn near could not stand back up, all the pain I had was localized from the very top of glute to the bottom of glute, I did not have any pain or sensation down the leg, I tried a lot of stretching with minimal benefit, so I started foam rolling it then I progressed to a tennis ball, after using the tennis ball it started getting better fairly quickly, but I can tell ya bro it hurt like a bitch in the beginning with the tennis ball, here is a link, chic not bad either,haha, gluck man.
