piracetam

bought this stuff because its a nootropic and promotes mental alertness.

tried it for the first time today. 1 gram in the morning and 1 gram in the evening. i became extremely tried after taking a single dose and ended up falling asleep after taking it. felt more like a sleep aid than anything else. i'm a little confused because i thought it would make me more alert.

does anyone else experience this? should i just take this at night instead to help me sleep?

i'll try it again in the morning to see if a get a different response.

I've never experienced that or heard that about piracetam, and none of its mechanisms should be sleep inducing. 500 mg is not much -- scarcely worth taking.

I've heard a few people say it makes them tired but in my experience it was always stimulating. I'd say try 1.6- 2.4 grams and see what happens. Try dosing every 3-4 hours for the first day or two. If after a few days you don't notice anything you might not respond. Some say it can takes weeks to notice effects but it seems like anyone who responds to it felt it the first day they took it.

Play around with the doses before you give up. The fatigue could of been coincedence. Also are you using any choline? I don't feel its necessary but when i used choline bitartrate and inositol my tolerance to piracetam was greatly reduced.(Been using for 3+ years and my doses have got up in the 30 gram a day range) With choline my dose went back down to around 10 grams with same effects.

I felt piracetam from the first cap i took. Colors were sharper and brighter. More focused and killed anxiety. Look for color changes in the beginning. If you don't get to experience it then i'm sorry because it can be pretty amazing.

i just ordered choline citrate today...should be a week before i get it.

when you say dose every 3-4 hrs, do you mean split the 1.6-2.4 grams throughout the day or take 1.6-2.4 every 3-4 hrs.

did those people that take experienced drowsiness discontinue use or did it eventually work for them?

Try 1.6 g every 3 hours for 2 days. Also you could try a high dose say 3-4 grams. Although theres not much validity to attack dosing i believe its because most people don't feel much the first few doses so taking some large doses in the beginning gets things going.

I happen to be someone who never experienced a brain fog from taking too much piracetam. More always meant better results for me. I realize this isn't true for some people.

well, today i tried .5 grams in the morning...felt alright i guess. no real drowsiness. then i took another .5 grams serving after lunch. i'm starting to feel the drowsiness come on. i think the smaller dosing is a little more tolerable.

maybe ill try mega dosing it in a couple days to see how i respond

I have to agree....colors and sounds are more noticeable!

I've been experimenting with...choline, priacetem and oxiractem.

Good stuff!

whats ur dosing?

In the beginning, I did what was call The Attack dose...(I believe that's what its called) of P&C

6:30, 12:00, 5:00
2.4g of P&C at each time above

Did that for the first week and slowly decreased to 1.6 per dose over the following week.

Now I just dose
800mg of each P&C - 8:30AM with some caffeine

2:00, same dose as above.

For the O, I've only dosed that a few time....but plan to experiment with that sometime more in detail this winter (you get less and expensive)

There are some great youtube videos out there by this on guy and I can't remember his name...but he's typically one of the first that show up.
