Picking Bench Opener Oct 1st Meet

So I went through today seeing where I was on bench. No crazy bench numbers as it's by far my worst lift.

I started at 265 pause no problem. 275 pause no problem, 285 pause tiny struggle. 295 touch and go.


I've got a few weeks left to sure it up. I'd love to have #3 attempt at 300.
 
Is it your first meet? Your openers should be something you could hit for an easy double, maybe a triple. From what you laid out above id say

First: 260-265
Second: 280-285
Third: 295-300

Edit: if it's your first meet id even consider going even lighter on your opener to make sure you get the feel of judging, how long the press command is taking, how to hold the rep at the top before the rack command, etc. Essentially a weight that you can pretty much toy with and be able to focus on making sure you have all of the other aspects of a meet rep down.
