Phentermine - your experience?

Hello ,
I'd like to hear if any of you out there have had any good/bad results with it?

Here are my current observations on the topic...

1. Seems it's REALLY popular for quick weight loss and should only be used for no longer than 12 weeks.

2. Actual RESULTS I've seen have been documented in facebook groups and it's almost always obese or morbidly obese women (although there are some men).

3. I've been wondering WHY it is not discussed more within the bodybuilding community given its effectiveness. I've seen plenty of talk around ECA stack, Clen, and other stuff....and of course, just getting your diet right.

4. I suspect BB's have more of a "just get your diet right" mindset, but I could be wrong.

I myself have just started it with the main goal of trying to squash food cravings late at night - and that is what Phentermine is, an appetite suppressant, not a magic pill. I've seen plenty of people talking about how they gained all the weight back after stopping. So, no matter what, you still need to work out and diet right.

One thing that I've experienced so far is about 20 minutes after taking 1/2 pill, I certainly feel jittery. What's weird is that normally, I'm a heavy coffee drinker, so I thought it wouldn't kick in so hard since I'm use to heavy caffeine - but that doesn't seem to be the case here. I've cut out all caffeine now and this pill still kicks in pretty hard.

Anyways, like I said, just curious if anyone out there has experience with this?

I took phentermine for just 1 month a couple years back, just to switch it up from vyvanse and adderall. If you are looking to squash cravings at a night, a stimulant might actually be more detrimental. I say that because depending on when you take it, (most people do early AM since it is a stimulant) it’s going to wear off by the PM, and you’ll have most likely eaten considerably less during the day. So by night time, when it wears off, your appetite will come back with a vengeance. That was my experience at least. So I’d recommend a stim free appetite suppressant, or one geared for night time.

The problem with most weight loss drugs is the cravings come back after stopping use, sometimes they come back worse. Also, the stimulant based compounds are starting to fall out of favor due to so many other options out there such as the GLPs, e.g. tirzepatide or retatrutide. Even the almighty clen has dropped in popularity. As a person who took some super heavy stimulants back in the day I'd rather go with tirz or reta.
On a side note one way to get rid of nighttime cravings would be to eat at night, actually plan a meal at that time. I eat around 730pm.

I don't have experience with it, but I've been around the block with supps and ped's and phentermine is not super popular in the fitness industry, it does very little to actually make you lose weight and its main effect is just being an appetite suppressant it's basically ozempic in regards to how it actually works. There's lots of better options

Reta for the win
