Are you saying the Sucralose I sell would be over $28? If so not sure where you get shipping is $8?

Shipping is FREE on the sucralose???

BTW you can just add his Sucralose to water then no need to use a scale you just use a teaspoon to measure out the liquified Sucralose

CROWLER

I didn't know shipping was free on sucralose. Definitely pushes me even further towards ordering this stuff..
By the way, does the water have to be distilled?

no. I would use it though if your were going to make the stuff to store for a really long time or if you have H2S or the like in your water outside of that there is no reason to use it.

H2S in water? :fart:
I take it you have never lived in a geothermal active area? Sulfur and different variants of the gases can work there way into ground water. I know of one place in Ca (lived there for a while) that the water actively stunk and was more like seltzer then water. (Not from the H2S but other gases I guess). It’s hardly a common problem though, some certain wells and springs. The point being that the only thing that I could think of that would hurt the sucralose was some really bad water.

Did I mention that I showered almost exclusively at the gym?

The free shipping deal convinced me to order some of the stuff. That's just too good a deal to pass up.

Actually, I do, I work with it too. Quite common on deep oil wells up here.

Just never heard of it getting into the water table :)

I've smelled water that has it in it, it's nasty smelling to say the least. A neighbour of my parents, who lived on a farm and drank well water had the stuff seeping into his water supply. The sulfur smell was nearly unbearable.

Yikes, you almost might as well just use sugar when you're getting up into that range of splenda use. It'd be a helluva lot cheaper and the splenda really saves you nothing in the glycemic load.

Lol, you guys are getting outta control here. By VOLUME Splenda and sucrose are basically 1:1 for sweetness.

2 tsp of Splenda weighs 1g and has ~1g of Maltodex < 4 calories
2 tsp of Sucrose weighs 10g = 40 calories

On the glucose GI scale, Maltodex is 90-100, sucrose is 60ish. Yes Maltodex is high GI but it in a serving size the GL is negligible. There is more dextrose in a single serving of many fruits (ie. one 200g apple has about 4g of dextrose.)

If you think table sugar at 10 times the calories is better, more power to you.

BTW why would you consider eating 1/3 of a cup of sugar or Splenda at a time?

I don't think anybody was eating 1/3 cup of splenda at once, but more during the course of a day. I could see using a pile of the stuff over the course of the day if you were making your own sugar-free drink mixes. That would certainly add up when somebody is cutting.

Ok that makes sense. I thought someone had a really large sweet tooth.

That said, even 1/3 of a cup of Splenda consumed over the course of the day will not be that significant of a glycemic load. Yes it may get to the point where you might want to factor in the calories themselves (hence the benefit of Crowler's product) but the amount of maltodextrin in Splenda is not really cause to set off the high GI alarm.

I wish I hadn't, god that was nasty. and there was some other scaly scum that I am guessing was some kind of complex salt. Like I said I don't think its common, cobb mt had some of the best water I ever had but 40 min away I couldn't stand to shower in the crap. we were on a well though, the city water while not good was still drinkable.

True, if used in moderation, it's not a big deal. Some people use a lot more than one packet at a time though, thinknig it's zero calories. I've actually seen low carb recipes using 1 cup or more.

Seems like where Crowler's product would really shine is during pre-contest dieting. Those crazy carb cyclers would probably like it too.
