PCT weight gain?

I had blood work done after a cycle and Invalid Link Removed, my test came in low. Therefore, I blasted Invalid Link Removed for 5 days, then ran Invalid Link Removed, Invalid Link Removed, and low dose exem for 6 weeks. I am finishing up the 6 weeks now, I have been training during this time and do feel stronger/like my test levels have improved. I'm going to wait a little longer to get blood test results until the serms have cleared my system. My question is I have gone from 186 pounds to 191 pounds, am I gaining fat? water weight? A little confused since this hasn't happened before on PCT. Thanks

so 4-5 months back you did an msten cycle - since then you’ve done pct, got bloods and done another 6 week pct?

it doesn’t seem like you gave enough time after the cycle plus pct to return to normal before you did your first bloods bro. Gotta give it a min of 3 months after pct (longer for a longer harsher cycle).

water and fat is the most likely cause of the weight gain. Obviously no idea how dialled in your calories are so whether you know your in what would normally be surplus or deficit but 5lbs isn’t any great shakes really. Personally I like to gain a little after a cycle as I know I’m giving myself the best chance to hold the lean mass. When hormones stabilise you can cut that 5lbs back off easy.

Thanks for the replies. It's weird to me since my diet & exercise has been pretty on point to what would make me gain water/fat. I thought PCT increased natural test and I was taking a low dose AI to control estro so where is the water/fat coming from is my question.

To clarify I finished the cycle around Oct 1. Pct for 5 weeks to early November. Got bloods done in Feb. Did another PCT from March-now roughly 6 weeks. So over 4-5 months, my bad

hormonal imbalance (especially cortisol) can cause fat gain. Estro might be up causing some water retention.

to be fair you had a reasonable gap between Oct ending and bloods so off that cycle you’d have expected to be back to normal but this isn’t an exact science for any of us. Maybe msten in particular hits you hard......

Gotcha, thanks. Should I take a cortisol control supp? I remember absolutely abliderated by evomuse back in the day was good. Not sure what cortisol control is the go-to nowadays?

ashwagandha is a solid supp to have in your daily arsenal anyway

invictus by iron legion probably the best supplement I’ve used specifically for cortisol control

Remember, pct is not a guarantee. You could bounce right back or take 6 months to normalize. As far as the gaining weight, look in the mirror, are you looking fatter or bloated? Have you continue to lift hard and stay on point with diet and getting stronger? The mirror and your numbers on your lifts should help answer that question. We can't really tell you if your gaining fat or water or muscle without pictures to go by

Ya that's fair.

I guess I look roughly the same in the mirror, more muscle in my arms and traps. So maybe the increase in test and estrogen control lead to some muscle + water weight. Thanks for your input, is there a good way to measure body fat %?

Here's a good guideline, I'm sure it's not exact but it's a ballpark ideaInvalid Link Removed
