Panasonic TZ-1 - Good Choice?

So yesterday I had to take some pics for a competition FnF and I are in. I was really pissed with the way mine turned out as my digital cam is around 8 years old. I finally had enough and went and purchased a new one from Best Buy.

I had my eye on the Sony Cybershots line and the Cannons. They didn't have the models I wanted but the guy talked me into the Panasonic TZ-1. Selling points were the 10X zoom, auto shakiness remover thingy, and the large lens. I've take several pics with it so far and am very happy. It's a little larger than I really wanted but no bad.

Did I make a good choice? It ran me $349. Anyone else with this camera, how do you like yours?

Don't know too much about the Panasonic but I do know those Sony cameras are total junk. Everyone I know who has owned one has had it crap out on them. So in my opinion you did better than the Sony!

It looks like you bought a good camera...GRosk is right about the Sony. Most of Sony's stuff is junk. My experience with Panasonic products has been nothing but positive.
