Pain Cream

Long story short: 14 years ago had some basic ankle/heel surgery. Got staph and bone infection. Pic line, wound vac and a flap and skin graph. Now chronic arthritis. Just continues to get worse. I do love me some Injureeze but curious if anyone else has any recommendations. Inuse biofreeze but don't notice much.. CBD cream?
 
We have the CBD pain freeze over at strong supplement shop that i've been wanting to try but I have yet to try it. It might be worth a shot.

Definitely worth giving CBD cream a shot. I’ve turned my father and a few other older relatives on to it, they all report a major reduction in arthritis pain from using the cream.
 
been using prescription voltren gel for years...it is now available otc at places like walmart/walgreens/krogers.....

I got this for my mom last month. She’s 64 and has bad arthritis and she loves it so far.

I'd recommend giving Labrada Elastijoint a try. It has 1g of all the major joint health ingredients. My dad is 76 and has arthritis and loves it.

Also try out from the CBDisterlly. They make a 'Daily User Starter Pack' that comes with CBD cream and CBD oil when taken together can both help out joint and muscle pain. Their CBD is top notch.

CBD cream has been shown to offer little benefit besides helping with dermatitis. you need a transdermal that can penetrate the layers of the skin...kinda our area of expertise.
 
My go to is Deep Blue by Doterra and I also make a blend of essential oils that doesn’t have the strong smells so I can wear it without smelling like an old lady! 🤣

This reminded me that my girlfriend brought home a sample of Pennsaid sometime last year. Found it. Turns out it's the same as Voltren.

Going to give it a try. I def have some kind of arthritis forming in my right knee. And I still have a few months before I turn 30.

voltren gel worked really well on my knee before i got a replacement....it didn't work on lower back and hip when i had sciatica, for that @delsolrob cbd oil worked wonders...voltren is really great for knees, wrists/hands, elbows and feet...doesn't do much for shoulders, back, or hips at least in my experience.
 
I have a clicky shoulder bit this knee pain is really my only issue. No rhyme or reason to why it appeared. . My father has arthritis in his knee. Takes a shot every 6 weeks, but this only started in his fifties.

I do have some type of autoimmune issue. I get a little psoriasis about once a year, have one small dime sized spot of vitiligo and the digestive issues ove been battling these last few years. Theres def a correlation between psoriasis, autoimmune issues and arthritis.

I was actually reading all of the usage crap on WebMD regarding Voltaren (went down a rabbit hole) and it’s specifically recommended for arthritis in knees, ankles/feet, elbows and wrists - smaller joints only, not disc/spine, shoulder or hip issues. So you are spot on.

They’re all inflammatory responses. If you aren’t using a curcumin product, could be worth a look. Great for your heart, anti-cancer, keeps joints happier. I would recommend it to most people who don’t have contraindications from things like blood thinners.

I do. 500mg Meriva twice a day.

Just started up cissus again as well.

Anyone have experience with topical DMSO? Supposed to be extremely strong on the anti-inflimation front. People praise it as a miracle drug.

Actually, I've heard the opposite. But it might depend on the area of the skin you apply it on. I've heard of them using it in a medical sitting for children with those seizures that only CBD treats, being applied to the bottom of childrens feet and it absorbing perfectly. I assume it should absorb on thinner areas of the skin Invalid Link Removed show's it's MW to be only 314, so that should be plenty small enough to absorb through the dermis, and it is just a fat molecule.

There's no dispute, CBD has a myriad of benefits...heck, that's why I made Neuro CBD - it helped with my nerve pains after I broke my neck and spent 6 months partially paralyzed. Using Salvo as the carrier for CBD was amazing. But, like any TRANSDERMAL, you need a proper carrier. The carriers job is to drive it through the skin. just adding CBD to a cream does not drive it into the skin and into the bloodstream - that's the job of a transdermal carrier.

CBD creams and Balms have really poor bioavailability, while transdermal is up to 45%

DMSO is amazing, will only work on soft tissue though. It is more than just anti-inflammatory, it works to help heal the injury...don't ask me how, the mechanisms are unclear, and it cannot be marketed as such, but it fucking works. It is also a transdermal carrier so whatever you put on the skin over DMSO, the DMSO will bring the substance deeper into the skin and even into the bloodstream if the molecules are small enough. Sometimes people will combine a topical anti-inflammatory over the DMSO for added benefit. You have to be careful with the **** though, and take necessary sterilization precautions. as any bacteria on the skin before the application will go into the blood with it.

I have a roller stick from Amazon. Definitely works well as a local analgesic. Dries the skin out/makes it a little itchy but it’s a great tool if something tissue-related is hurt. Super cheap to try. Like Darkhorse said, it’s gonna pull everything through the skin. Guys used to use it with ground up Finaplex pellets. But if you put it on and get paint thinner on the area, you’re gonna die lol. So get it clean prior and be mindful with use.

So I saw this at Walgreens and Holy cow. This really helped with one application. I did do a second application. We had a junior high football game yesterday and I was hopping all around while coaching. I usually can't do that. I didn't have the throb of pain either after the bus ride.

So I thought it was placebo and so I had a coworker try it out on her finger joint, 30 minutes later she said wow as well.

It says 4 inch application for 21 days. In your experience should I do that or ony apply when needed?

my rule of thumb for ALL pain meds is use as needed.

really glad it helped you, shame it doesn't work on lower back and shoulder.

I have used Curcumin in the past but always the cheap ones I found on Amazon. Probably need to use a quality one.

I didn't know if that was just a loading phase. I do plan on using it at least twice a day. I glove up and it takes awhile to rub in. Gonna do more research on it for sure. But for now, very impressed.

Gonna also try out Nuero CBD and Apex Alchemy new cucumin product when it comes back as well.
 
Thanks everyone for the responses. Lots of things to look into. I also think I just need to find a quality cucumin product and that will become a staple for awhile as well.

yeah, it doesn't dry quickly or easily---i hit it with a hair dry for a few minutes.
