The Biggest Lies in the Gym

The Biggest Lies in the Gym

I don't want to get too big.

Today is my light day.

I'll do abs tomorrow.

I'm not really trying to pick you up.

This baseball cap protects my eyes from the glaring lights.

I don't go to the gym to check out the babes. Honest.

I used to lift ...

Its supposed to bounce off my chest like that.

I don't do squats, 'cause they're bad for the knees.

I'm just getting back into it.

I don't do legs because I don't like it when they rub together.

I was not staring.

I don't care how I look, I just wanna be strong.

It's all you.

I've been sick lately.

I do circuits for the exercise.

I don't care about how strong I am, I just wanna look good.

I didn't notice the babe - I'm here to workout.

No, I got these gains by using Creatine.

I'm not a juicer.

I had too much alcohol last night.

I haven't worked out in weeks.

I lifted a lot more than that last time.

I always put my weights back when I'm done!

I always clean my sweat/chalk off the equipment.

I didn't drop it - it slipped.

You don't need to lift heavy.

I can't do squats, I have bad knees.

I just injured my ___ a couple weeks ago.

I don't need to do legs because I run/walk/cycle on the weekends.

You only have to do 1 set.

I go to the gym to work on my fitness.

Callus prevention? No I wear gloves to help my grip.

I never cheat.

...add your own...

A guy tried to convince me that Metalabol was greater than roids.

The same guy told me that Inosine was as good as D-bol.

This was a fat guy who spent hours at the gym working just one set of muscles, his jaw. He often performed verbal aerobics while everyone else worked out.

lol... some pretty true stuff in there, I'm sure we've all heard more than one of those before...

No joke. He knew it wasn't true. Just trying to boost self-esteem.

And yeah, Arnold did say it best. :D

saddest part is the poor schmuck who was the guy's client probably believed him!

Someone told me I didn't have to eat right or do cardio to get a sixpack, he said all I had to do was crunches, and he was pretty fat.

I also hate it when someone refers to fat as stored energy, it just seems like they justify obesity when they say that

you're kiddin me, right???

I think Arnold said it best...if it jiggles its fat

Better yet, I remember another quote that said, "YOU CAN'T FLEX FAT".

**** that ****. It pisses me off when the media tries to say that obesity is a disease.

Disease my ass. Gorcking down a bag of Cheetos and a 2 liter Pepsi is not a fucking disease.

if being too fat is a disease, then being too skinny should be one too...

One piece of advice which I`ve heard from trainers and others say to people looking to cut is `convert the fat to muscle`.

I was never a big fan Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (former WWF Intercontinental Champion & former WCW U.S. Champion) but I will always remember one of the greatest advice during a WWF interview that he had:

"FEED THE MUSCLE, NOT THE FAT"

If obesity is a disease, shouldn't there be some type of rehab therapy for the patients?
