Doesn't have enough of the Creatine & HMB per serving so you would have to take a craploead to get a good effect and it's pretty expensive IMO

MUSCLE SYNERGY

Ingredients are as follows:
niacin 100 mg
L-Arginine 3500 mg
Beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutarate 1500 mg
creatine monohydrate 1500 mg
L-Glutamine 1000 mg
L-Glycine 500 mg

What Beverly says:

Beverly International's Muscle Synergy™ supplement compound is a breakthrough for drug free muscle growth. There are three distinct compounds combined synergistically to increase muscle growth at a rate that far exceeds that with any of the ingredients alone.

1.The combination of beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutarate (HMB) with Arginine and Glutamine has been research proven to increase lean muscle mass even in patients with immunodeficienccy muscle wasting.

2. The combination of Creatine Monohydrate and beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutarate (HMB) has been shown to increase lean tissue to a greater degree than when either is taken alone.

3. L-Arginine, L-Glutamine, L-Glycine, and Nicotinic acid have all been shown to augment growth hormone release when used individually. When combined in the correct ratios found in Muscle Synergy their effect on growth hormone levels may be exponentially heightened.

A lot of the local guys were raving about the incredible pumps they get from Muscle Synergy, so I tried a bottle, and felt very little . However, one of my best buddies, Marco Spierendeo, who won light-heavyweight at October's Monster Mash, swears by this product. Says it gave him more impressive results than ph even. He continues to use it, and it's hard to argue with a guy that's 5'10", with 18 1/2' arms and a 30" waist @ 6% bf. Natural.

Just proves the old adage; different strokes for different folks. I also have tried at least 6 different kinds of creatine with no effect at all. Still lots of experienced bros swear by this product, including bigswole30. I quote him below.
I would take Muscle Synergy while learning more about prohormones. Muscle Synergy is a non-hormonal product. It worked great for me.

Update on research from BEVERLY

www.beverlyinternational.com/board/
Author: Roger Riedinger

Hi All! Here are references from Beverly research files on Muscle Synergy.
I hope this answers your questions as to why Beverly comes out
with an hmb product after 5 years. It's the synergistic effect
when combined with arginine and glutamine (and as a minor
consideration as John's research noted earlier with creatine.)

I'm going to list some url's you'll have to copy and paste into the browser.

Search for yourself at Pub Med
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?CMD=search&DB=PubMed
Search words: arginine hmb glutamine (type in all three)

Remember 1 kg = 2.2 lbs
1. First reference - Cancer patients losing up to 3lbs/month of
lean mass gained an average of 1.2kg fat free mass (over 2 lbs) in
4 weeks. Control group continued to lose muscle.
Am J Surg 2002 Apr;183(4):471-9
"Reversal of cancer-related wasting using oral supplementation
with a combination of beta-hydroxy- beta-methylbutyrate, arginine,
and glutamine." Am J Surg 2002 Apr;183(4):471-9 Books,

Thirty-two patients (14 control, 18 HMB/Arg/Gln) were evaluated
at the 4-week visit. The patients supplemented with
HMB/Arg/Gln gained 0.95 +/- 0.66 kg of body mass in 4 weeks,
whereas control subjects lost 0.26 +/- 0.78 kg during the
same time period. This gain was the result of a significant
increase in FFM in the HMB/Arg/Gln-supplemented group
(1.12 +/- 0.68 kg), whereas the subjects supplemented
with the control lost 1.34 +/- 0.78 kg of FFM (P = 0.02).

JPEN J Parenter Enteral Nutr 2000 May-Jun;24(3):133-9

2. HIV patients add average of 6.6 lbs lean mass in 8
weeks with arginine / hmb / glutamine
"Nutritional treatment for acquired immunodeficiency
virus-associated wasting using beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate,
glutamine, and arginine: a randomized, double-blind,
placebo-controlled study."

Clark RH, Feleke G, Din M, Yasmin T, Singh G, Khan FA,
Rathmacher JA. Nassau County Medical Center, East Meadow,
New York, USA.

RESULTS: Forty-three subjects completed the 8-week protocol,
(placebo, n = 21; HMB/Arg/Gln, n = 22). At 8 weeks, the
subjects consuming the HMB/Arg/Gln mixture gained 3.0 +/- 0.5 kg of
BW while those supplemented with the placebo
gained 0.37 +/- 0.84 kg (p = .009). The BW gain in
the HMB/Arg/Gln-treated subjects was predominantly
LBM (2.55 +/- 0.75 kg) compared with the placebo-supplemented
subjects who lost lean mass (-0.70 +/- 0.69 kg, p = .003).

Hope this helped you see how we derived the formula. I'd
recommend supplemental glutamine with Muscle Synergy as
glutamine and arginine amounts were equal in the studies.

im following a beverly diet right now and i really havent noticed any weight gain at all. i use the extra glutamine, they suggested 1/2 tsp with the glutamine. i guess with me dieting its hard to tell if something is working or not but IMO i dont think its cracked up to what it should be...
