Good game Sooners.. have to say both teams played extremely well.. we caught some bad breaks but you guys are a damn good team..

It was a great game. Bama is going to do well this year.

Game of the day though has to be the Florida-Miami game. Wow.

Holy ****!! UF and UM game kicked a$$. Pitt over Kent St. tonight, just need some real opponents now.

College ball, gotta love it.

The heavy D going on in the Bama/OU was unbelievable! There was some serious wood being laid in that game. Brodie Croyle will be the **** in years to come. He's learning his third O in one year. OU looks like the team to beat, though.

In other views, my team Wisconsin almost crapped one away today. Although, it was nice to see Lee Evans and Anthony Davis kill! When we get the D up to full speed Wisconsin will contend with both Michigan and OSU. watch!

They get no love but Texas A&M is going to kick ass this year..Reggie McNeal is the man.

Good to see another A & M fan here. They are 2 - 0, but have not looked well against Arkansas State and Utah. On the 18th the Ags play Va. Tech (who is ranked ninth). The ags will definitely have their work cut out for them.

WOW that OU game was a damn good one. Im stoked about how OU played and ahh yes bama will be good also this year.

The LSU vs. Arizona Wildcats game blew... I have to say my buddy gilbert that plays for the cats got stomped hard.

As for A&M, I go their quite a lot to visit friends but they still blow. :p:

Michigan will begin their title run with an ass woopin of the Irish, who I might add got lucky against WSU. Good teams do find a way to win but not in ANN ARBOR!! GO BLUE and ROLL TIDE

i thought the bama game was great!!! ididn't figure they would win but i knew it would be damn close...

had enough "nfl-experts" telling me bullshit about how Oklahoma was #1 team and how bama wasn't even ranked and how they were gonna wipe the floor with them...
i rolled my eyes and told them to go back to the nfl; because college ball plays different...

I FUCKIN LOVE FOOTBALL!!!!

UF kicking ass
UM kicking ass
FSU kicking ass

Game of the day: Ohio vs. NCstate. 3 round overtime in a stadium that has never seen OT since it was built over 70 yrs ago. Ohio took a tough win.

More to come.
:D

Yup, that OSU & NC State game was badass. Oklahoma, Michigan, USC, & Miami all looked equally impressive. Too bad these teams can't play in a tournament at the end of the season and determine a real champion.

BTW, I can't believe UNLV kicked the **** out of Wisconsin at Camp Randle

oh BTW I will also not be discussing Penn State's game on Saturday :D :D

I'm going to next weeks game vs Kent State, should at least be able to take them for christs' sake!! :D

I'm proud to say that my Boilers are in the win column after a road win against a ranked opponent. However, the Boilers have a brutal 2nd half schedule with road games at both Michigan and Ohio State. It'll be a good test of whether the Boilers have broken into the upper echelon of the Big Ten or if we're still a 2nd tier team.

Did you watch it? If only the Huskers could get 6 in the fucking red zone...

Lord sucks, for the record.

That's why Nebraska will not be able to handle Texas, Oklahoma, & Kansas State. But you guys did have it good when you had Tommy Frazier, Scott Frost, & Eric Crouch. Only good QB we've had at our school was Jeff Garcia (SJSU baby!)

Well, NU and OU don't play this year, so that is a non-issue. Nebraska *almost* took Texas last year (even with Lord), and has a better defense. Texas has looked suspect, may be an interesting game. I am curious to see what is wrong with Ell Roberson, KSU is being awfully tight lipped about the situation. NU won't take the Big 12 this year, but *should* be better than .500.

As for Lord, he continues to make rookie (bad) decisions, and play like an underclassman. I would rather have Dailey (freshman) making the mistakes that Lord makes, but learning from them. Lord has sucked consistently for 2 years, nothing is going to change.

Go Golden Flashes, beat the Nittany Lions. :D

Tennessee beat florida. BA-HUM-BUG
FSU slaugthered Colorado
Miami's slaugthering Boston College.

Tennessee ruined my weekend.

Man quite a bit of upsets today, K-State got beat by Marshall, Oregon beat Michigan, Notre Dame lost to Michigan State, I also thought Geargia would beat LSU.

Hey db, since you root for FSU, Miami, & UF can I root for USC, UCLA, Stanford. I'm a Cali guy :D

Sure. You gotta represent were your from, right? But once it gets to be UF vs. FSU, I gotta go with my boys. UF!:D

You forgot some upsets that should piss people off in here:
1.) The almighty tide ended up as a ripple in a bath tub. Poor Matt, It sucks having shattered dreams huh? Crimson Tide = Upset. (for Matt at least)
2.) Pitt lost and I believe those are Jergs boys. ;) Sorry bud.

db

I always love to remind losers that theyre losers.

What a comeback by Missouri in OT. Usually they fold against these teams they are supposed to beat easily but now, first 4-0 start since 1983 and only the 5th 4 game winning streak since 1912.

Pitt over Texas A&M, woot, woot. :D

I think that justifies me posting on this thread again since we lost to Toledo. :(

Wow freakin Cal stuns USC. I for sure thought USC would kill them. Looks like this year has had many upsets. I was also shocked to see Washington State stomp on Oregon 55-16 @ Oregon, one week after the Ducks had beaten Michigan.

I feel for you Matthew, a 31-10 lead in the third quarter should be a pretty safe lead. Maybe the 49ers will win tomorrow against the Vikings and make me forget that USC lost

I have no idea what happend to my boys today... Arkansas must be better than they look.. but 2 OT's to knock us out..

Your boys are getting 49ers defense syndrome which can be explained as " the act of choking in the 4th quarter despite having a comfortable lead ". Sorry just had to vent again on my teams lack of testicular fortitude against the Rams & Browns

My 3 & 1 Boilers are in a good position going into the start of the Big 10 season. Their first two Big Ten games should be gimme's (Illinois and Penn State).

He should have been.. and damn he is a big big boy.. looks like one of the linemen back there calling plays..

Yeah I saw it! It was so damn close.

I think PSU has been down all season, although they started to come back up last game against Kent State, they got their bearings in the last half and started working together.

I think Penn Sate could have beat Minnesota if they could keep their damn hands on the frickin' ball! Their defense looked great IMO, but the offense was slacking again.

Purdue looked pretty tough against Illinois. The defense shutdown one of the more productive QB's in the Big 10. Also, nice to see that we have a running game to go with the passing game.

~Todd

Boy, the 'Canes barely stole it from West Virginis and lost Frank Gore, they're out in National Title picture. Oklahoma looks too good right now. BTW you know what I don't get, Peyton Manning never beat Florida even though he had better teams at Tennessee but his little brother Eli can't lose to Florida. Oregon & Michigan shocked me, they're headed downhill fast. As usual, Ohio St won even though they weren't impressive.

I think it can also be said that Florida was a better team when Peyton played them.

Very true, they also had Steve Spurrier in charge. Ron Zook just isn't good enough to replace Spurrier. I think Spurrier also did a better job recruiting.

Didn't expect PSU to win against Wisconsin I admit, although they did get 23 against them, which is respectable :)

Gotta love the fact that Purdue (5-1, 2-0) defeated the Nittany Lions for the first time since 1951.

I'm not getting cocky because we have two tough road games in a row at Michigan and Wisconsin.

~Todd

How about Mizzou! We kicked the Husker's ass. Of course OU is going to slam the Tigers back down to earth next week, but its nice to beat a team you haven't won against in 25 years.

Actually..... no I can't say I love that much at all Todd :p :D

They really need to get their **** together, PSU. By next season they should be working more as a unit IMO, then we'll see how it goes, but this season they haven't been half of what they're capable of.

Hey jweave, what do think about Joe Pa, should he give it up or do you think he still has something left in him ?

Honestly I don't think the poor playing of the team has as much to do with Joe as it does with the team itself. You've got a few players who have some experience, but alot of freshman and sophomores that have plently of talent, but still not refined into a winning machine!

I think he should keep going until he feels he can't anymore.... when he runs out on the field with a walker.....give it up :D

Good point jweave. The only thing I've noticed is that the maybe the players at PSU need to play with the intensity of Ki-Jana Carter, Kerry Collins, LaVar Arrington etc. They seem to have lost that intensity that I used to see in other PSU teams.

How about them Boilers!!!

Nice road win against a ranked opponent. Still have to play some tough games: Michigan (next week) and Ohio State on the road, and Iowa at home.

~Todd

That's a great win for the Boilers Tator, they can be one of those teams that becomes an established contender with a couple of good recruiting years and big wins.

I've been dreading posting about last weekend's Purdue vs. Michigan game.

ABC chose to air some boring Pac 10 game instead of Purdue (not a big surprise since I live in Southern Cali) so I didn't get to witness the debacle. However, the general consensus on Sports Center, the sports rags, and talking to friend & family seems to be that Purdue got whipped thoroughly by Michigan.

The road to the Big 10 championship usually goes through Michigan and Ohio State. Purdue's last championship (2000) they beat them both at home. However, this year would have really proved something if they would have beat them on the road. We've failed the first test of being in the top tier of the Big 10, but there are still two more games remaining against ranked teams (Iowa and Ohio State). I'm hopeful that the Boilers will get back on track and end up with a 9 or 10 win season.

~Todd

I heard some of the Purdue-Michigan game on the radio. It sounded as if Michigan handed Purdue an old fashioned ass whupping.
