Why would I just not wait for a regular sale where the discounts were typically 15-20%.

I like the idea of having a 15/10% discount for the duration of the year, though; no waiting for a sale, I can get the sale price when I actually want the supp (and so not have to plan ahead).

Plus going by OP the 15/10% is in addition to any sale prices NV is having at the time (excepting bulk discounts).

As I understand it, correct.

I'll need some clarification from the big guy so as soon as I have a definitive "yes" I'll report back. It'd equate to substantial savings....

Correct, the deal you receive from a VIP membership can be stacked with a deal we may be running at a given time. Adds up to significant savings :)

In that case, if the deal would get boosted up to 20-30% that's not bad, but still a little weary about pre-paying for something that is uncertain ...just my $.02

This membership would appeal to folks who'd want the convenience of not having to wait for a discount code. The $40 spent on the membership (or the $20 renewal) could be made back quickly and even moreso when stacked with any current deals we're running.
 
If this included free shipping for the year (like Amazon prime) then maybe it would be worth it. As is, it is a gamble.
