The Experiment said:Libertarianism isn't the right answer because its never actually worked unless self imposed egalitarianism occurs.
Libertarianism has not been tried. When it comes to egalitarianism as currently defined, there is no more antiegaliterian political philosophy around. Until rights are untangled from empowerment and the right to do something is no longer seen as synonimous with the ability to do something, this will be the case. The necessary liberties in freedom of association, protection of property rights, freedom of contract, etc., for a truly Libertarian political model to emerge have never existed in the US.
The only things needed for a fairly Libertarian society are protection of private property rights and laws against aggression and fraud, the latter being no more than an extension of the former.
