Unanswered Norvaline + Bcaa = Non toxic

Hey guys!

I've just watched Jerry brainum's video about the norvaline issue and he said according to the data that combining norvaline with Bcaa will inhibit the toxicity of the norvaline.

Furthermore he said that combining arginine or pre cursor to arginine with norvaline will increase n.o. production by 55%.

What do you guys think?

Haven't seen it. The "toxicity" is likely a complex issue that is a little over blown. Not sure how he thinks BCAAs will inhibit the toxicity but I would take a wild guess that he is saying taking valine with norvaline will help because the valine will compete for incorporation into cells?

As far as the NO production - norvaline is an arginase inhibitor, so it will increase NO by that method. Taking it with arginine or citrulline will prevent the breakdown of arginine and thus upregulate NO. No real question about that.

I would say neither is worth really supplementing to begin with.
