I told Sam to screw up the orders of all the chest-puffing LSU fans that think they'll be playing in the Sugar Bowl Jan08.
They conveniently forget they have "Lose Les" as head coach.

You mean Flynn or the criminal Perriloux?
Flynn will be a good QB - albeit he has one year.
Ryan, on the other hand, I believe is a head case ala either Vick and will fracture your locker room. Miles needs to get rid of him now, IMO.
But - I think he has in inclination his job may be on the line with a sub-par year coming off a #3 ranking.
I was impressed with Flynn against us in the '06 Peach Bowl. Miami quit - but he showed poise and the ability to go through his progression.
I honestly don't think you guys end up in the top 5. I think VaTech will be a damn tough game for yall on 9/8/07. (I'd go to that - but Miami plays OU earlier that day, so we'll see.)
Beamer doesn't bring a great offense - but he'll have a better special teams. Pretty sure that aspect will cause LSU headaches. Might be enough to turn the game towards the Hokes - but not sure.
As of now - I'm thinking a 7 point win for LSU over VT.
That Bama game at Bama will be a ZOO (ZOO, I said).
Man - can't wait for CFB. 2.5 months. :head:

No one honestly ever thinks LSU will end up in the top 5, no one outside of the SEC anyway. It just keeps happening though. Alabama will settle down quick this year, Saban won't be bringing much help. It will be an even greater rivalry if he can build like he did here. All of our big games are at home this year, which to me means SEC championship. (Props to FL but has Tebow even thrown the ball overhand yet?)

I think you are wrong on that. Vegas has you guys basically at #4 on the odds to win the 08 BCS title game.
You guys are showing up in the top 4 on every poll I've seen. I'm betting 3rd behind USC and maybe Michigan (or could be Texas).
Agreed on Bama. I listened to the Paul Finebaum call-in show as I was driving through Tuscaloosa a few weeks ago - cracked me the hell up. :lol: Those Bama fans were just out of touch.
Not having Prothro hurts them BAD - plus the losses on D.
You guys should by default end up in Atlanta.
BUT - you can not name a year when you guys didn't lose a big game that you should have won. Hence - it will happen again this year. I don't know to whom. Maybe VaTech (which won't hurt that much since it's early and OOC).
But - LSU will have a loss that they shouldn't. It's a hallmark of Les Miles.
Agreed on the Gates. Expectations are high - and they lost A LOT on both sides of the ball. Plus a new QB (as you mention).
Yeah - MLB regular season is boring.
But, now the freshman are on campus and practicing.
It's moving along - finally. Will be a boring summer - gotta plan some trips to the beach.
