hi,im planning a 6 week mohn cycle.pct 6-0oxo...6-0xo was
tested and the results were test was increased and also dht was.
well i went to walmart today and nizoral shampoo a-d ketoconazole 1% is all the had.
i know 2 % is needed for dht inhibition.i need a prescription for 2% right?

i have also heard of spiro ...does walmart sell spiro?

im not looking for a pill.all im looking for is a shampoo blocker, any recommendations please
 
You can order Nizoral from most Canadian Pharms with Rx for like $15.
Otherwise but the 1% in the US.
Dr. Lee does a version of the 2%, and wholesalehairproduct sells too (I'm not a fan of them though)
 
Spiro is by Rx - check dr. lee @ minoxidil.com
Custom Nutrition may carry it.. I believe they are out currently.

I'll be visiting Canada soon. Is 2% nizoral something I can buy OTC in Canada?

Are there other options in Canada I might consider instead? Thanks.
 
From what I gather, yes, you can buy 2% OTC in Canada...maybe you can buy me some too!

Thanks for the links, Smeton. That's encouraging to hear that 1% is effective. But then other studies (like the one on the nizoral2% link) say 2% is 10x as effective. Who to believe?
 
The 2% can be bought freely in any Canadian pharmacy for about CDN10.
And its just one statement in a study which says the results are similar without any numbers for comparison, I don't think the 1% can give the same results although its better than nothing I suppose.
 
When is it good to use nizoral compared to spiro (or something else)? I'm not sure I understand how and when they both work or how they differ.
 
Both nizoral/spiro are supposed to occupy the androgen receptors to retard DHT effects much like SERMS for estrogen.
Spiro works much better but nizoral shampoo is somewhat useful. Spiro needs to be cleaned off carefully and kept away from women/children.

1% nizoral is available OTC in the US, but I had to buy 2% in Canada.
 
2% is readily available in any pharmacy, costco, or almost any department store in Canada such as Walmart or Zellers. It's around $10 a bottle (120ml) in Canadian funds (probably like 8-9 bucks US)

I'm in Canada, and the local drug stores carries 1% and 2%, both come in 30ml and 60ml bottles only.
 
OK guys, well this was already discussed. Yes 2% is available OTC in Canada. That's where I bought it. It's also at the weblink mentioned above. In the States, 2% is a prescription and 1% is OTC.
