I've recently started researching Niacin (Vitamin B3) and it is a pretty interesting substance. I'm sure most people on here are aware of the "niacin flush" that occurs at higher doses. I've been reading that this flush is due to blood vessel dilation near the surface of the skin, and I have a question: would this dilation serve any benefit in the use of transdermal products? If the blood volume near the surface of the skin is increased, wouldn't that mean more could be carried into the bloodstream through the skin?

Just a hypothesis. I wonder what other people think.
