NHL Playoff matchups

The last loss to me was expected after giving away a game and losing a goalie. i predicted 5-1 and was sad to be almost right. Tonight i have no prediction just a general hope then can buckle down and make it happen tonight. OILERS do it.
I think the oilers will come back tonight as well. They're a team that fought this hard to get here, and I don't expect them to give up now. I think it's going to be nasty;)

but I would like to see it too
carolinas loaded though
Edmonton showed major heart
keep bringing it Oilers ani't over yet mister:hammer:

I would love to see a game 7 but it is going to be sooo tough to get out of Carolina with a win. The Oil are really going to have to dig down deep. I have my fingers crossed..

Go Oilers!!!

Yup, the Oilers are in a serious bind now . . .
Needing 3 straight wins against Carolina now looks far fetched -- I'd love to see it happen, but we all know how tough that will be . . . Carolina is strong, there's no doubt about it

4-3 win in OT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now game 6 back in Edmonton -- I'm predicting an Oiler win for that one and back to Carolina for Game 7

And Canada celebrates!
I agree edmonton will be tough at home, like I said they have shown major heart. That goal 16 seconds in did'nt hurt either:icon_lol:
They are giving up a few too many powerplays imo, but great job by the Oilers.
Stick around boys, business is about to pick up

Edmonton played great last night and if they continue to play as tight as they did they should sqeak out another win my only concern is the penalties as previously stated. carolinas powerplay is too hot to mess with. carolinas blocked shots are critical but if not executed correctly only provide a screen for their own goalie.

great game last night! kept me on the edge of my seat rooting for the oilers. lots of hit and just great all around hockey

LOTS of hits -- Doug Weight and Ward might be hurtin' for the next game (I hope) -- it made a big difference without them on the ice . . .

Awesome game. I too think they'll win game 6, they're tough at home.

I'd love for this to go to game 7. I may have to drive up to Edm for the whyte ave party, haha.

Man game 7 I don;t even carer who wins.. This is gonan be a bloodbath,, which is what i'm looking for. I might just call off work cause i want to prepare myself for Lord Stanley.

I am calling edmonton as I did for game 6(not sure if I did here). Won 100$ though:woohoo:
No money on this, I just want to enjoy game 7. Go Edmonton! Major respect to them for coming back down 3-1. They looked on top, a few too many powerplays as has been stated. The oilers pp is finally clicking.

Wow this is going to be a crazy game 7, game 6 definetely put a chink of the armour of carolina but look at all that armour. I think this series is far from easy to dictate, but i fear the refs will determine the outcome. I hope nick magoo isnt the ref cause hes a salty old bugger who cant be wrong kinda like don cherry. I was happy to see the oil put together a powerplay and mount some solid offence. I was also happy to see the oil score a goal that wasnt a tipped slap shot, just so ward knows he let in some saves he could have made, now lets see if he has the courage to make a stand up final and come back like bryzgalov did.

From down 3-1 to going into game 7 !!!!
This city is upside down -- for those of you not around here -- Edmonton is nuts -- for hours after every game, horns honk throughout the city -- every 2nd vehicle has 1, 2, 3 or 4 Oilers flags on it -- and lots of them are repainted in copper&blue, or have massive flags, stanley cups, etc. decorating them -- half of the people on the street and at work seem to be wearing Oilers Jerseys, our priest at mass on Sunday prayed for the intentions of the Oilers -- I've never seen anything like it -- it is like a religion here !!! I can't blame the people here -- we love the game and we love our team -- and I mean love like organ donor love.
Tonight will be war . . .
I'm praying for an Oiler victory -- They deserve it more. They got guts, you've gotta respect them for not letting up and adapting and being relentless. I'm hoping for a fairly reffed game and no controversial goals -- just a clear victor either way -- both teams deserve a fair match.

A few of my coworkers are going up to whyte ave tonight for the game. I opted out, because i don't want to be part of the carnage if they lose ;)

What a Game!!! Thats all i gotta say

Agreed im more than impressed with wards play, hes the reason it didnt go to ot or in the favour of the oil. I mean the goalie does his job but ward left you saying wow or sometimes you just shake your head to know that under all the pressure, with the lack of experience, the mental and physical fatigue, and the laws of physics he found a way to keep the puck out and noone could have done a better job.
