Hi I'm a newbie to gym work , 28 year old but quite healthy , as work alot so always on my toes , question I have is I'm just starting out but do cardio aswel but someone told me to do weights before cardio because when I've done 5 mile on the treadmill then go downstairs to weights I'm losing that ' last kick ' I need to push myself to finish reps on weights .because I pushed myself on cardio Is this correct . I should be doing weights before cardio not the other way round . Thank you .

eh, I have heard both arguments. What are you trying to achieve? strength? endurance? improved cardiovascular health?

I like to warm up with weights and then at the end of my workouts do some cardio. I find that if I do intense cardio before my lifting session, my strength is not as its best.

What are your goals? If your goal is to build muscle then 5 miles on the treadmill pre or post workout is going to be counter productive. Should stick to 30 minutes tops or do a 15 minute session of high intensity interval training

Agree. Also you need to tell us what your goals are...Lose weight, build muscle, tone, etc.
