New to trt and cycles

After working out for 2 going on 3 years hard, I had my testosterone checked. My level was 268. I was prescribed 200mg test c monthly. I was tested 5 weeks after my first injection and my results were 578. After that I went through a job change that kept me on the road and working long days so i stopped my trt until I could get back into a routine in the gym and diet. I have got my life back in order and am ready to start my trt correctly.

Stats:
24 years old
6 ft
200 lbs
18-20% bf

Plan:

Started 200 mg test c every other week 2 weeks ago. In 2 weeks im having blood work done again. I then will adjust to 200 mg per week if levels are good. As my base trt.

For a cycle i will bump my test to 400mg per week for 8 weeks and combine with 25mg anavar everyday. And then go back to my base of 200 mg test c every week after my 8 week cycle.

Im only looking to lean out to 200 lbs around 9-10% bf. Any advice would be great as I'm very new to this.

To get to 200 9-10% bf from where you are now is not going to be as easy as u may think.

Say you're 200 @20%
That's 40 lbs fat 160lbm

At say 10%. It would then be 20lbs fat 180lbm

That's 20 more lbs of lbm. You're using var in addition to the cyp. Ok

So to add that 20lbs of lbm you need to eat more than you use. But in doing so you'll gain some fat, no matter how clean you eat, it's going to happen.

You will not gain 20 lbs of lbm on a cut or even a very slight surplus recomp.

So in short here, I'd say pick a goal. If it's getting down to 8-10% bf then a more realistic weight goal will be around 180-185. If 200 and 8-10 is your goal then bulk to about 230 then start your cut.

My recommendation is to do the cut. Try to get yourself down to 8-10 or say even 12% at a weight around 175-185. Then start your clean bulk. And by next year this time you should b around say 215 20% bf. Which is 43 lbs fat but 172 lbm. So you'll have gained 12 lbs lbm in a year which is solid. Then u repeat until eventually you get where u want. And this is if u gave everything fine tuned and dialed in. Diet, workout, sleep and rest.

Now final point is you're 24, and I can't believe a dr would prescribe trt for u so young. You may have lower t then most you're age but this is not something you want to go on at 24. Try natural stuff first and I think you'll see things will work out for you in the long run and if eventually, after all your natural growth is maxed then make the decision.

Just my two cents. But in any manner just be realistic about your goals bc going from 200 20% to 200 10% isn't really going to happen the way u want. And I just don't want u getting discouraged and frustrated. Any questions shoot em my way and I'll help however I can. hopefully a more experienced guy will hop in as I've only been in trt 200 eow for about 5 months, but I'm 42 so a bit different story too

There is no reason based on what you have posted that you should be on TRT. At 24 years old, you should be looking to every avenue to correct the low test levels naturally. You should get off now before you have to stay on.

I don't know why you're starting at 200 mg/EOW and intend on going to 200 mg/wk.... I would just go to 200 mg/wk to start.

I agree with what other people posted you are on the low side but young just stockpile the steroids and run cycles but don't do real trt. Your also gonna need a serm for pct if you end up not doing the TRT and just cycles. Also I'd have an AI on hand.

Dude thats terrible advice. No1 with low test should be running cycles, its a recipe for disaster. He needs to exhaust every possible area that could be causing his low test and find the root of the problem, if it can not be corrected then explore trt. But to cycle on and off at this point would be foolish

OP, as the previous members have stated, you are to young at 24 years of age. There is still time left for natty gains. Do some research and explore other ways for you to increase your natural test levels. There are many products out there from respected companies that will most likely help increasing your natural testosterone.
